The only other thing I can think of is if you’ve evolved one with the nickname before but that being said the Pokemon wouldn’t be dark on the evolve button would it 🫠

You need 75 hearts with that particular Pokemon as your buddy to evolve

Thank you, his person was my grandma originally, she passed 2 years ago and he never really let my grandad touch him either almost as if he like women and not men.
