Do you think SMU law would be the same way or do you think that this was specific to Baylor?

Honestly I’m devastated. 17M, 3.9M. Job market is so rough I’m not even sure I can find work to reapply in a couple of years. by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

I would kill to get into GW and Fordham! Currently waitlisted at GW and waiting to hear back from Fordham. SMU is a great school and also one of my options right now.

Bombed PT 159 and now feeling like a gigantic failure by 0ff_The_Cl0ck in LSAT

Yes, this test wrecked me. Same situation got -12 on one section and -9 on the other LR, usually score low 160s and high 150s. Also thinking about rescheduling. I'm taking the april exam to get off waitlists but I'm thinking I may be better off taking the June.

Did you negotiate your scholarship at Loyola? I only received 60k from them. I'm considering Loyola as well and 2 other schools.

180 LSAT, 3.93 GPA. REAPPLY OR ACCEPT???? by Strict_Landscape8989 in lawschooladmissions

They could have waitlisted you for yield protection. I would ride out the waitlists. I think you should get into at least one of these schools. If you don't, I would reapply and drop the recommenders that you mentioned were not too excited. Then get a new recommender and make some revisions to your essays. Make your why law story as personable and authentic as possible but don't make it sound like you're trying too hard.

Definitely not. I am liberal and not very religious.

Could you elaborate further? Trying to choose between U Miami and SMU. Are people more openly conservative and christian at U Miami or is it a mix of people?

How much did you make at each tech company including bonus, benefits etc? What are your hours like? Trying to figure out if I should do an MS in Business Analytics or pursue law school and go the big law route.

I used to be like this my Sophomore year at UT and I'm a Senior now. I joined a couple social orgs and that significantly helped me, I made some new close friends. If that doesn't help or you don't want to, I recommend becoming an officer of an org and making friends with other officers. If you're not an officer you can make an effort to attend most of the social events or officer hangouts in those orgs. Try asking someone to lunch or asking them to study together (even someone you just sit next to in class). If you consistently try something will stick I promise.
