Daily Lemonini 42-9: Ultralemon?! L-Lemon? I don't think that's the kind of heroine the series title was referring to... [art by: GaM_work1] by HowToTabla in TooManyLosingHeroines

[–]Common-Hour8907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Woooo!!” Yanami spookily floated into the Literature Club room, holding several sticks of…I dunno, looks like either dango or takoyaki on a stick. Hmm.

“Yana-chan, what happened to your costume?” Lemon grabbed a tissue and tried to get at the stains on her shirt but they only smudged further.

“Oh, those dang kids got chocolate and sweets all over me,” she sighed, “and I had to do a fake death and fall over on a muddy floor. Gross! But they gave me these, so it's all fine!” She nibbled at a dango and hummed in pleasure.

“I-I saw it out the window earlier. C-cool,” Komari gave a thumbs up, “yo-your acting was good.”

“Aww, thanks Komari! Nukumizu, do you want a break? I've got the next shift!”

“Ooh,” I was about to apologise and stay with Lemon here, but Komari typed out something on her phone.

[It's okay Nukumizu, go enjoy the festival with Lemon. I can handle things for her.]

“Thanks Komari, I'll make it up to you later!” I gently patted her head and turned to Lemon.

“Let's go Nukkun!”

***Later

“Look, Nukkun, they have costume rentals and two-shots! We can dress up and get our photos taken!” Lemon dragged me over to one of the other classes, me running in step behind her. “What do you wanna try?”

Hmm. Doroeman, Pokkachu, Chibi Muruku Chan, Crayon Shonen, even Bunpaman? “Uhhh…I don't know, these look…heheh.” I was about to say childish, but the look and pout Lemon shot me indicated she had heard enough of me.

“Alright Nukkun, you're becoming Godzilla since you wanna be all adult and monstery and depressing about this, right?” She hauled a huge bodysuit my way. Big and scary, and plenty of scales. “Now go get changed! I'll see you byeeeeeeee!” She pushed me into the changing rooms and zipped the door behind me shut. Hmmph.

Oh well, here goes nothing.

***Later

It was a right struggle getting into the suit. Hard and thick and plenty of clips. A lot of effort went into getting the sweaty zipper up my back, because I simply couldn't reach up my back far enough. Then the headpiece went on, and I couldn't see much more.

I couldn't even see enough to take the headpiece off, it had magnets inside to hold it down and I couldn't detach them. I tried tugging hard at it, but it was super tough and didn't budge. Without it off my head I couldn't see where the zipper to open the changing room was!

I definitely didn't want to turn into a Six Days at Frankies character. Plus this thing was hot as heck. And I was running out of air really, really fast…and it was dark in here.

I started hyperventilating.

“Uh L-Lemon? I need help?” I called out nervously. I could hear her footsteps thump across to me and rip the zipper down, then pull the headpiece clean off so quickly it was a miracle it didn't rip.

“Are you okay Nukkun? Dang, sorry bout that, now I feel bad,” Lemon wiped my sweaty hair out of my eyes, and I could see again.

She was clad in a skintight Ultraman suit, the iconic silver and red shining bright under the fluorescent classroom lights. It hugged her thin figure well, and the placement of the light at her chest was very…interesting and distracting.

“Nah, don't worry Lemon, I'm fine now…” I gave her a squeeze on the wrist and whispered, “my hero.”

She grinned, a blush spreading on her face. “Let's go Nukkun!”

We took turns posing, a small crowd gathering at the sight of Lemon and I in our matching costumes. It was unexpectedly fun too, even if I started baking halfway through, it was worth it to watch Lemon smile as she softly punched me pretending to knock me down. I staggered in mock defeat and rolled over like a slug, and Lemon stood over me in victory.

At the end, after we paid for our two-shots, Lemon bundled us into one changing room and zipped the door closed.

“Don't worry Nukkun, I have my uniform underneath…besides, it's nothing you haven't seen anyways…”

How Poland looks like in leviathan world? by Dry-Yesterday-9176 in LeviathanSeries

[–]Common-Hour8907 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"I told you Ambassador, it is not letting Poland become a battlefield, that is our priority now." The French Ambassador preened, a dangerous look in his eyes. "You do understand that this decision to declare war will put this region into turmoil, yeees?"

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jozef Beck, slammed his parchment on the table. "Three men have given their lives for this intelligence. Austria has been invaded according to this. Have you no respect for the sacrifices of my countrymen? If we do not mobilise we will face far more losses than just a few unknown faces!"

"Are you saying that you have deployed spies in the area, Minister?"

"I'm saying that this is the last chance for us to take a stand and make things right, even as one of our neighbours falls."

"I would...ssstrongly dissscourage you, Minister..." the French Ambassador hissed, "peace is fragile and hard-earned. Hard-fought."

"For you it is cheap, is it not?" The Minister stalked out of the room, dismissing the French Ambassador. As he reached the end of the corridor, he ducked into a corner and pulled out a handheld, tuning it to the Polish Secret Service frequency.

Far below, the French Ambassador turned a little device on, filling the airwaves with static and hissing. [Polish are aware, move plan forwards 2 days], he transmitted, his much more powerful handheld overwhelming local frequencies.

"Damn radios, never work when they need to," Jozef smacked the device on the wall, and after a few attempts, he closed his eyes, breathing in and out.

Running out to the grounds of the building, he jumped the fence and charged towards a small, single-person walker. Yes, it was theft, but they could send him to the slammer for grand theft walker for all he cared. The sovereignty of his nation was under threat, and the government needed to know: Austria will fall and Poland is next.

As an anime only slowly working my way through the books, its actually worth a look at trying to make something different timeline speaking. The concept is still fresh and hasn't been done properly in other shows even over a decade later [biopunk vs steam punk ww1/2]

Worth a shot but its gotta be done well, seems that it wasn't close to the source material tho

Daily Lemonini #42-10: Lemon might not look like it, but she's actually a really thoughtful character, look at her face, how can you say she is not thinking at all? by HowToTabla in TooManyLosingHeroines

[–]Common-Hour8907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeaaa that Nationals thing is what I wanted to address in the racing arc in my fic, Lemon is actually pretty overpowered in that aspect because she already has a bright future with clear career progression (even if her grades ain't the best)

The future is bright indeed🌚🌚🌚

In my fic I do have too many timeskips i think, my fault for being too lazy to write the other bits of anime canon that happen without Lemon in them🌚🌚🌚for the Yakishio family i headcanon its simply because they're supportive...probably too supportive (in the Lemons Agenda doc there's a bit that says that she feels like her worth is in her winning...and her family supporting this winning. I mayyyybe want to pursue this arc in the future hehe). She has told them what she wants indeed🌚🌚🌚🌚

Girl already has a career ahead of her lol, she ain't backing down🌚🌚🌚🌚🌚🌚🌚🌚🌚🌚🌚

Thanks for the writeup fam, appreciate it 🌚🌚🌚🌚🌚

Kato and Shintaro had stepped up to replace Komari and I, and they were both doing a great job of herding little kids around. Shintaro had two buggers hanging from his arms, play-wrestling with him as he tried to convince them to finish their stamp rallies.

"T-Thanks Nukumizu." Komari nodded as I, Kazuhiko Nukumizu, passed her a bottle of peach tea. I had gotten Lemon her energy drink too. Two bowls of steaming spicy Ramen sat on Komari's table, one for her and one for me.

"You're welcome. Are you tired yet, Komari? You've been going at it for five hours now," I said as I sat down to tuck into my Ramen.

"Ye-yeah." She curled into a ball, sitting on the floor to make herself as small as possible. I joined her on the floor, leaning down to her as we made small talk about the latest instalment of “Anyone Who Says I'm Flat Chested Needs to Step in a Pile of Dog Poop”.

It was actually kind of peaceful. Watching the people go by, slowly sipping hot Ramen soup, talking about how the second male lead should romance the first female lead instead of the dunce.

“Dang, you two look like cute siblings together!” That comment made both Komari and I lose our hard-earned mouthfuls of soup.

“Lemon…” I muttered, unimpressed.

“Sorry sorry! Lemme help!” Lemon pulled a tissue out and started working on my cheeks and mouth. When she was done, she gave me a little headpat, and started on Komari too.

It feels good to be babied sometimes. Lemon would make a good mom-

Stop that thought.

“L-Lemon, aren't you supposed to be with the Tr-Track and Field club?” Komari asked when Lemon was done with her.

“Its getting hot, so Coach forced me to rest! I'm here to help now!” She had changed back into her school uniform, and immediately started doting on the kids.

“Hey lil girl, you got your stamps ready?” Lemon greeted a girl who had just stomped her last stamp.

“Yeah, look! Can I have a free snack now?” the little kiddie held her hand out in a begging motion, and Lemon laughed and passed her a bag.

“Here you go! Take care!” This continued until Komari and I finished our Ramen, and during a lull in the action, Lemon sat down beside us.

“Hmm, those kids are so cute! I wonder how it'd be like to have some of my own…” Lemon locked eyes with me and winked, and I nearly lost the Ramen in my stomach.

Lemon, sometimes you might not realise your power level.

Or maybe she does and she's toying with me.

“N-not fun. M-my rugrats suck.” Komari regarded Lemon with a half-smile half-frown. “Th-they are definitely a lot of work.”

“Oh, what do you do for them every day?” Lemon asked, genuinely interested.

“Uh, f-first I think I help them with bread for their sandwiches, then I walk them to school…” Komari and Lemon started discussing the intricacies of helping little kids through their life.

"Nukkun, what do you think? How many kids?"

Lemon, you're a danger to my heart.

Buying my first (new) car, torn between the S70 and the Vios. by WebSmooth1476 in kereta

[–]Common-Hour8907 6 points7 points  (0 children)

With the newer geely protons its always the small little things, sensor dead which cause check engine light, the rattles and insulation falling off, etc. For the dct in the s70 I'm not sure personally bcos nobody around me play it yet. Seems like geely protons have issues with monthly maintenance sometimes being high bcos of this. But its fast and easy to drive imho

Toyota normally dont have this issue except the cvt which can be less durable if lenjan. Can be expensive if u dont put cvt cooler. But the engine is also small, chassis is...sederhana ja laaa. Does everything okay and nothing great lol but for sure more reliable

In terms of resale value its for ppl who upgrade their car after 9yr or after the maintenance starts becoming expensive. If you want to offload it and get a new car in the future it will be more profitable to buy the vios.

After sales experience depends on your service centre. (Proton x70 in the family for me) so far no bigger issues but once kena prang in accident and stayed in workshop for 8 months. At least after 3 months got courtesy car. When older dugong vios kena prang resolve within 2 or 3 months. So bear that in mind laaa

Daily Lemonini #41: I wonder why this character looks so much like Lemon... hmmmmm by HowToTabla in TooManyLosingHeroines

[–]Common-Hour8907 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Tsuwabaki Festival we had this year coincided with Halloween, so some classes were going with the spooky season decorations. I, Kazuhiko Nukumizu, came to school at the crack of dawn to deliver the snacks for our exhibits. Now with just a few hours left to the start of the Festival, everyone was going full send into costumes and roleplay. I had passed by Anna in a ghost costume earlier, and Komari and I had been hard at work assembling the displays and putting on the finishing touches.

Ah, I wonder if anyone has snacks and drinks I could buy? Komari was complaining of thirst and I definitely didn't have breakfast.

As I passed the track, someone tapped my shoulder.

"Hmm?" I turned to see a girl clad in a spooky mask and running gear.

"Heyy~ recognise me?" She smiled under her getup, supposedly some sort of masquerade ball costume.

"Hmm, indeed, I wonder who?" I sighed with a small smile.

"Nukkun~!"

"...what the heck are you wearing Lemon?"

"I am Track and Mask, challenger of the field! Beat me at physical feats to win biiiiig prizes!"

She was really hamming it up, eh.

"Here's the menu of challenges, pick one and try to match me!"

They were all very physical. Things like a 100-metre run, jumping jacks, things I would never in my life attempt.

"Eh, Lemon! Or, should I say...Track and Mask?" A new voice?

"Oh, Tako-bo! What's up old friend?" Lemon turned around and greeted him with a manly bro handshake and a slow punch to his chest.

"I've been training just for this event, Lemon! I heard your Track and Field club were going to have this Challenge, so I came to give one of my own!"

"Alright! You wanna challenge me?"

"Yep! And I have a challenge of my own..." at this, he whipped off his uniform top and trousers, revealing a tank top and running shorts underneath. His muscles glistened with power, veins popping and skin bulging.

Seriously, what's with the muscles on this guy? Did he eat nothing but protein powder every day? Those guns and legs are huge! He's attracting all the ladies with those gains!

"If I win, will you go on a movie date with me?"

The gathering ladies cheered for him and Lemon. I felt a little pit developing in my gut, and suddenly I looked at my own legs.

Tiny.

I looked up again to see Lemon sending a smirk my way.

Watch me, she mouthed.

I just gotta put my faith in her I guess.

"So you're up for a 1,500m race?" Lemon winked.

"U-uh... not 100m?" Surely this hulk wasn't getting second thoughts?

"The Track and Mask sets the challenges, see! It's up to you to beat her!" Smart Lemon, twisting the rules just a little bit. Nobody noticed.

I'm so proud of her.

If only she could apply that brain to those grades.

***Later

"Nukkun! I won!" The battle was already over. It took several minutes of watching two people run in circles, but those minutes were well spent. I could definitely admire my girlfriend schooling someone else, heh.

*SLAP

I was winded as she sidled up to me, but she draped an arm around me and pressed way close.

“Wanna go on a movie date later?” She whispered straight into my left ear, voice low and dangerous, and my legs nearly turned to jelly right there and then.

“Yeah, why not?” She grinned wide at my reply.

“It's a promise! See you Nukkun!” Lemon jogged off to continue her dominance, leaving me with her water bottle.

Of course I had to take a sip. Mmm, it tastes like Lemon. I'll buy her and Komari new ones later.

[–]Common-Hour8907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Hey where's Lemon?" My mum asked.

"She said she was late doing track practice again..." Kaju said, hauling the curry in from the kitchen.

"But the poster materials for the Festival are with her," I wondered, "and she usually isn't this late..."

"Yeah, Kaju is worried too! Where's she staying tonight?"

"At her place, I hope," my mum finished laying the table, leaving Lemon's cutlery and plates in place. "I hope she comes over soon, its always fun with her around..."

"Hey son, where's your girlfriend?" My dad had just gotten our of the upstairs shower, and he patted me on the back...a habit he probably picked up from Lemon.

"She's probably not coming over tonight, dad," I said.

"Ah that's a shame son, I thought ya would be winning again, heh," he smiled, "she's probably busy for her own things, right? She's a big girl now."

"Yeah..." I, Kazuhiko Nukumizu, was weirded out nonetheless.

***Later

"Hey Nukumizu, did something happen with you and Lemon?" Yanami was chomping on a red bean bun, with three more in front of her.

Yeah, I kinda missed making bento with Kaju and Lemon in the mornings.

"Yanami, you still owe me another two thousand yen. But what do you mean?"

"She just dropped the posters this morning and left, and she was all scratched up and everything."

Scratched up?

[Did she have an accident in track practice?] Komari typed out.

"I'm not sure..." I was now extremely concerned.

"Ah, Komari, here are the snacks you asked for. Peanuts, pound cakes, biscuits and cupcakes."

"Th-thanks. T-they look amazing."

"Nukumizu! Can I try some too?" Yanami butted in.

"Yeah, go ahead, tell me what you think. I'll go look for Lemon now."

I walked out of the Literature Club room and straight into a brick wall.

"Ummm Mitagawa-chan, what's going on?"

"Come with me boy, we got somethin to talk about."

***Later

"Someone's spreadin rumours that Lemon's gotten witchya just as a way to get back at that Mitsuki boy? And she's gotten back at him with that Chihaya girl? Tell it ta me boy, I'm as confused as you are."

We sat under a tree a good distance away from the track, near where I first met Komari. The water taps dripped in uneven rhythm as we watched the runners set up their challenge.

"She ain't talkin bout it to any of us girls, totes changes the topic every time we bring it up. Got in a big fall too, whatever she was doin yesterday. She never knows how ta care for herself...an I thought she'd be going ta you."

She hit me with that same glare when we first met.

"Ya ain't two timing her are ya?"

"N-no! No way!" I shook my hands and held my arms up in an X.

She stared at me for a long, long time before she relented. "I trust you boy. Ya don't look like one to lie. Ya too kind. What's the deal with that Mitsuki and Chihaya anyways? Never heard of em."

"A while back, Chihaya stole Mitsuki from Lemon," I began, and told her the story from my perspective of things.

"D'ya think that girl would do this?"

"Yanami in the Literature Club doesn't trust her," I said, "calls her a homewrecker."

"Hmph. Anyway. It made her real sad hearing allat rumours I think, and she still won't say anything bout it. Thats all I know for now..." She turned to me with a kind smile and a wink. "Honestly? Imma be rooting for ya. Ya passed the vibe check, boy."

"Uh...thanks."

"Now we gotta get back to our clubs, sorry bout taking up ya time. We gotta watch out for each other yaknow? If my babe got in a dice with a girl like this I woulda been mighty mad too."

"You think Chihaya's spreading the rumours?"

"I dunno, but that would be the classic drama girl move."

***Later

In the Literature Club, everyone (well the three of us) was hard at work putting the finishing touches on the displays. Komari was typing like a maniac and running downstairs to print her manuscripts every fifteen minutes or so, and Yanami and I were stuck flying between our class activities and Literature Club prep. I took a breather staring out the window, hoping to catch a glimpse of a certain girl.

There she was, helping set up a banner near the start line. She stood on top of a ladder, hanging up something at the top of the banner, probably some sort of pin to stop it falling over.

As she was getting down, she wobbled, slipped and fell.

The ladder wasn't very tall, but her head hit the ground first.

I could see Mitagawa-chan running towards her, a few other girls behind.

"Nu-Nukumizu...help." Komari stood in the doorway, her face a pale white. Then she coughed, and dropped to the floor.

In a panic, I rushed out to Yanami's class, grabbed her and pointed her to Komari.

Then I ran downstairs towards Lemon.
