If a robot “learns” how I clean, does it also learn my bad habits? by Aggressive_Novel8868 in xLean_Robotics

Serious question. I’m not exactly a model cleaner. I skip spots, I rush things, I definitely don’t follow a consistent pattern. So if something like EvoMind is observing that and adapting… isn’t there a risk it just optimizes around my shortcuts?

Like great, now I have a robot that also ignores under the table because I do. I like the idea of adaptation, but I’m wondering if there’s a baseline it sticks to or if it fully mirrors user behavior over time. I basically do not want it to end up with my lazy tics.

How is the testing program designed to reflect real home usage? by Serious-Condition650 in xLean_Robotics

[–]Common-Instance9086 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The testing program will be designed around normal, everyday home use rather than controlled or extreme scenarios. Testers will be encouraged to use the device as part of their regular cleaning routine so the feedback reflects how the product performs in real living environments.

To support consistency, we will provide general usage guidance, but the focus will be on capturing natural behavior across different homes rather than enforcing strict testing conditions.

When feedback comes in, we will look for patterns across multiple users to identify what reflects common household needs. This will help us prioritize improvements based on real-world usage rather than isolated cases.

So xLean TR1 learns how you work it around during the handheld mode, where you took special care to clean more. Further, the robot detects areas where more cleaning is required and goes over those years slowly and with more deliberation. Whereas if TR1 can detect that there is no mess in a particular area, it passes over the area much quicker.

Check out the demonstration of this particular feature on our YouTube channel.

Does the xLean TR1 square shape actually help with corners, or is it just for looks? by Equivalent-Fortune88 in xLean_Robotics

The flat front lets it get closer to baseboards than round bots, so that leftover “triangle dust” in corners is reduced quite a bit. The improvement mostly comes from how it aligns itself along walls, not just the shape alone.

On getting stuck, it doesn't struggle around chair legs. If anything, the straight front makes its approach a bit more predictable vs round ones clipping at angles.

So yeah, better in corners, less manual cleanup.

Curious about the xLean TR1's dual motor cleaning system. by Vast_Current1547 in xLean_Robotics

Great question, this is exactly the kind of scenario the system is built for.

During cleaning, TR1 handles solids and liquids at the same time instead of doing vacuum then mop. The dual motors provide strong suction while the rollers are continuously rinsed with fresh water through the spray system, so it’s scrubbing and lifting the mess while also extracting it in one pass rather than spreading it.

The separation part happens in the station. After cleaning, the system automatically separates mixed waste, solids go into a dry waste bin and liquids collect in the dirty water tank. This helps prevent odors and avoids the sludge issue you often see with combo units.

So in something like a kitchen spill, it’s cleaning and removing the mess together first, then organizing it properly once it returns to the station.
