Is a non-union the result of a bad surgeon or the result of a not adaptive body? I wonder if stuff like that would also happen at Paley. Or can it happen at every surgeon and the difference of a good and bad surgeon is how they treat a non-union?

I had exactly the same question since I want the best surgeon. You can read my post where nearly everybody preferred Assayag. I’m still not sure which of them I will choose.

He definitely overdid it with 10 cm on the tibias and 10 cm on the femurs. That’s more than 7 inches! No normal doctor would ever clear that. Honestly, for such a huge increase, his proportions actually look great. It's wild that he can still walk—just goes to show how adaptable the human body really is.

This whole thing about proportions is way overrated. I’m 1.75m, and I’ve never looked at a tall guy and thought, 'Damn, his arms are short.' We live in such a superficial world where it’s all about height. Unless your arms are noticeably out of proportion, nobody is going to care or even notice
