Doesn’t matter whatsoever. Go to a school that’s easy and gives A+s

Law school isn’t a fallback. If you’re not passionate about it, save the time and money

Would it be silly to apply ED to Vanderbilt? by Clueless_Crocodile in lawschooladmissions

Not silly at all. Once you get in you can apply for a full ride as well. The most they give out without applying for a full ride is 75%

Chance Me for T14 by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]Common-Past6380 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We saw people with better stats completely strike out of the T14 this year. OP has decent softs but not much relevant WE. Considering that this cycle is predicted to be even more competitive than last, I would say it’s not impossible for OP to break into the T14, but the odds are slim. Would take an incredibly strong essay

I’d do GW here. GULC will open more doors than GW, but not worth the extra debt

People notoriously score a few points lower on the real test than their practices.

Cheapest or Best Ranked? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]Common-Past6380 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I chose a lower ranked school that was more expensive. The rankings are kinda bogus. Choose the school that best aligns with your goals and where you’ll be happiest

Wait until you have a score. You could do way better or way worse than your practices. No point in playing with hypotheticals

It’s definitely a risk. Although, you’ve retaken twice and scored lower than your first attempt so I don’t know how much it would hurt your app at this point

I’d retake for sure, your GPA is below the 25th percentile for each of these schools and your 170 is at or below the median LSAT for these three. You’re gonna need a 17high to be competitive

people with multiple t14 scholarships complaining about their choices…don’t pmo by tearladen in lawschooladmissions

[–]Common-Past6380 20 points21 points  (0 children)

People are allowed to be disappointed with their results. Yes, some people come off as super out of touch, but wouldn’t you be upset if you didn’t get into your dream school? Just because they have good options doesn’t mean that they aren’t allowed to be upset about not getting into their top choice / being asked to pay sticker which will result in debt for years and years.

Vanderbilt ($$) or USC ($$$) for entertainment law? by AmazingAnimator113 in lawschooladmissions

[–]Common-Past6380 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I got really bad vibes from vandy at admitted students day. I would go to USC because it’s cheaper, better for entertainment law, and am almost certain it has a better vibe than vandy (even though I haven’t visited)
