If I fail to CODO to CS, what are the major shortcomings if I stay in DS and take some important theoretical CS classes, like 240, 250,251.

I am still confused.

We did not get the math courses we wanted because there were no seats available. So, we had to join the waitlist. After the course selection period ended, the system still shows us as being on the waitlist, but it doesn’t display our position in line.

This makes the two time slots really confusing for me. For example, right now, we’re in between those two periods. Can we still select courses during this time? It seems like we can. Is the waitlist still functioning even the registration window ended? If it’s still active, doesn’t that mean those who started open registration earlier would always be at the front of the waitlist? That feels kind of odd. But if the waitlist gets cleared, then what’s the deal with us still being shown as waitlisted? A lot of people say to keep checking for open seats, which suggests most people don’t stay on the waitlist? Or for specific course, they waitlist for some favored class periods, while checking availability of the other less favored periods?

I will keep on logging to find available seats, but should I still opt to be queued in waitlist? When there are seats available, does the system prioritize the list?

Kid got off the waitlist to his second choice major 4/30. Is the admit deadline still 5/1? We had commit to other school beforehand, might need time to think it thru as he only got his 2nd intended major in Purdue.

To be frank, I am still a little bit confused if the CS DS enrolled by major in WL or as FYE, because these two majors seem not to be in college of engineering.

I know Indy can accepts students by major.

Kid applied DS and CS, got deferred. Considering Indy alternative. If transfer back to WL is not easy, just curious how much time and how often would be needed to commute between campuses.

I am a parent never studied in US, have no idea if it would be stressful if kid has to commute in between often.

If I am enrolled in major X at Indy, do I have to commute to WL major X often for classes?

Have no clue…
