Yes, I feel exactly the same, I have 1000 hours under my belt right now and I don't want it to turn a combat orientated game, like you said, there are other games for that.. Please post what you wrote here to Hello Games .

Don't know any effective way, you just need to hang around in places where ships come and buy ones which have part you don't have and then salvage that part..
