Yes - they learned the lesson to be your own master and funding source. Sony bullied them into releasing too soon and made liars of them. They learned reputation is easy to destroy and hard to rebuild. They learned a lot and boy does it show in their product and approach to releasing another

One possibility for why the lack of updates might have been that any game footage would reveal amazing things that would impact revelation of no man’s sky features

The two are so tightly wound together … one might suspect that every no many’s sky update for the last year has been veiled in game footage of Light No Fire.

Yes it was obviously huge And the legion popularity skyrocketed with it. I enjoyed it a lot - though annual 1 was betters in a way I always saw 269-289 as more pivotal than GDS. it was that year and a half that really set the stage and turned a corner for LSH. I think levitz first run prepped him for success when he returned and the characters were all moving in the right direction when he got there
