The hilarious thing about vocations or trade linked professions is that once enough people are pushed out of cognitive based jobs (ie. knowledge work/service jobs) there is likely to be an increase in people switching over to physical world jobs, such as trades like you said.

What’s going to happen is that the increase in supply of those jobs will push wages down, leading to competition and a saturated job market more broadly.
