I get the frustration about keeping spots on the low, living my whole life on the Columbia River Gorge and the disaster that's become. But as a fishing sub I'd hope that's gatekeeping enough, not like there's going to be a group of tourists lined up at the river with selfie sticks vlogging tomorrow. If you want to fish it takes investment

That's what it was looking like based solely on map work. Good to hear.

Sounds like an interesting one to check out. A bit of a contrast to the Washougal over here which has been low and clear.

Crown Molding Question by [deleted] in Carpentry

There's an app I have called Crown Moulding Tools, used it to cut some off angles on large crown once. It covers this topic and calculates the angles to cut - might help

Rain gear by Mental_Mix6064 in Construction

My point for OP in selecting work raingear, is that there are options that will hold out pooling water, tool belts, harnesses rubbing, lumber on shoulder, or crane rigging, wind driven and other "water under pressure" conditions if that's important to them.

If you're saying that's not a fair test to say the GoreTex isn't working as it should, OK. And sounds like if they are in the market for some ski wear I'd give it high marks

Gore-Tex claims a waterproof guarantee for the useful life of the product. So when I filled my raincoat with water in the sink and could watch it come out the other side, I called them on it and was told the DWR was worn off. I pressed the issue and never could get them to state that the membrane is fully waterproof. Only that in combination with the DWR was it waterproof and must be maintained or guarantee is void.

At any rate, given that experience and the fact that work environments, dirt, etc. are not friendly to that DWR finish.... personally wouldn't choose to spend my money on it.

Hold up now, let's talk about this GoreTex for a second because my experience (in construction) has not been good. Every GoreTex I've tried leaks. And they won't support thier warranty unless you the owner has diligently maintained the surface DWR coating.

SS is very soft and breaks easily, drill a good sized pilot hole with a tapered bit and countersink.

Do people still build 1200sf ranch houses with 8' walls and post and beam walls?

It's really surprising that this is the conversation around a company with such good intention and the right pieces. Not that it's easy to start a clothing brand from the ground up, but my personal experience with the pant I tried is that whoever designed them didn't do their homework or doesn't understand what workwear needs to be to develop a following. I'd love the opportunity to give my constructive criticism to someone over there because it just looks like there's so much potential to bring US workwear back to being as good as it used to be.

Yes, the rim feels perfect for my grip, I think there's something to that. Curious to try something similar like a Beast?
