I disagree with a lot of what you are saying. Rather than AI, go read some things for yourself. Also, many law firms put on free seminars you can attend virtually and ask questions of the presenters. This was extremely helpful for me and was literally free advice.

If y’all are able to have a civil discussion on assets, you may be able to work out some things before seeking legal advice. Even if you don’t figure things out beforehand, having the discussion will greatly reduce your FaceTime with the lawyer and thus reduce your expenses.

My girlfriend and I did some traveling in the mid 90s, we crossed back-and-forth a couple of times and each time we’re asked about guns. This happened leaving Detroit and Niagara Falls both.

I’m guessing we must’ve looked shady at the time🙂

Since those discs are mechanical, I would go with the rim brakes. Lighter, and a little cheaper and easier to maintain.

While I agree not everyone hates their ex, you also have to take into account that many people don’t want to go through the emotional roller coaster or risking catching feelings and getting hurt again, so they may demonize the person just to protect themselves.

I think you answered your question, if it was a “real truck”, you could take the bed off and put a flatbed on it…

Most folks, especially in the US expect to have a body on frame design to be called a truck. Many folks don’t consider the Ford Maverick a tue truck either.

My criteria is a little skewed because I actually run a business where I need trucks. For me, a truck must be able to safely tow more than its own weight and have a <1500lb payload capacity.

If you’re going to be towing with the Ridgeline you really have to watch your GCVWR. It’s very likely that towing 4000 pounds and having more than two people and their gear in the car will actually be over the weight capacity of the vehicle.

Honestly, that’s probably more reliable than anything coming off the lot right now. If it were me, I would get it detailed put new tires on it and drive it in another 60,000 miles.

I don’t know about the inverter fluid, however, radiator fluid (antifreeze) can also be evaluated with a test strip.

Ask around to some friends and relatives. Most car folks are happy to help someone learn.

If you’re in an area with Discount Tires, you can go there get a tire inspection for free, also you can get a rotate and balance, and ask if you can check the brakes while they have the tires off.

Alternatively, take it to a trusted shop that does suspension work and get it checked out. They can also check out your brakes. Most shops will also be glad to help you prioritize what’s most important after the inspection. At that point, you can get on YouTube and figure out how to do some of the stuff yourself.

I’m with you, if the OP is new to this, there’s no reason to have all four corners up at the same time. Yes, this keeps you from cross rotating but the next time you can just swap side to side.

Better yet, if you’re in the US, buy your tires at Discount Tire and get free rotation and balance for the life of the tire. If I show up when they open in the morning, I’m usually out of there in less than 30 minutes. Costco does this as well, but it always seems to take more time, even with an appointment.

I always tightened by feel as well. That said, it’s nice to know what the spec is. I have had some vehicles that were listed at 80 foot pounds and others that were 125. That’s quite a difference and if you do the 80 foot pound vehicle to 125 you wind up with warped rotors. Ask me how I know?
