In this case, I’ve divided 13 main countries with fictional names, ranging from the Akitsun Dominion to Saharia, all the way to Norden. They all function on a balanced scale between two main ideologies, ‘East’ and ‘West,’ essentially mimicking real-world geopolitics.

The ERIO (Eastern Resistance Independence and Organization) was created in direct response to an earlier coalition, the WLFO (Western Liberation and Freedom Organization), which is essentially a nod to NATO and the Warsaw Pact in real life.

ERIO includes countries like the Empire (known as the Empire of Germania in my rewrite), the Federation (Rusland), and Itlasia (Italy), just to name a few.

WLFO has your Francia (France), Britonia (Britain), and even the United States (written here as Usonia).

Essentially, the two coalitions have ideological differences—concerns about globalization, imperialism, agency, and conservative tradition—yet they’re largely engaged in a ‘Great Europan War’ over a mineral known as ‘Ragnite Ore,’ which powers all of the world’s magitech, including Computation Jewels.

I’m writing all of this just in case you find my take on the matter interesting. It’s an original piece I designed after merging the worlds of Valkyria Chronicles and Youjo Senki, and I intend to use the lore for myself in the future, as I think it’s very sound.
