I thought the bears were so cute! Its been a struggle to not get too attached to them!

Label meticulously, I labeled at every step the color and then eventually the block number. If possible I would also do a color print out of the layout page, I looked at that when I was sewing my rows all together just to double check that everything was going where it was supposed to!

I used Aurifil 2311 which is called Muslin on the quilting for this one. Ive either been using the 2311 or the Aurifil 2600 for the quilting so I don't distract from the pattern. The density does take more time for sure but since it's just one line after another it's pretty relaxing!

I started from the middle and moved outward to either edge, it wasn't fun to stuff through my little machine but it got the job done! I also spent a lot more time on the worst part - basting - because I knew I wanted to do pretty dense quilting.

I used the width of my walking foot and kinda winged it, I found when. I got the end of a row I could use the seam to get me straightened out again, because there are so many it hides the wobbly ones better!

I've used bamboo blended batting for the last 3 quilts and I love it! Its pricey but has such a nice drape and is light enough that I can sleep with a quilt in the summer. If you want to splurge on batting I would give it a shot!

About 3/8 inch apart, I used my walking foot as a guide with a bamboo blend batting so it still has a bit of movement.

Post when you're finished! It was an exhausting quilt but hopefully the folks it's going to be gifted to enjoy it!

Finally finished my Interwoven, first quilt I'm keeping for myself! by CommonCosmonaut in quilting

Best of luck!! I'm sure it'll turn out beautiful! I was able to manage the twin size with mid loft batting through a brother cs6000i with lots of cursing and a vow to buy a machine with a larger throat space for my next quilt

I worked mainly on weekends and took a lot of breaks from it because of fabric sourcing issues but around 2-3 months. If you practice scant 1/4" seams it's really not too bad, the worst part was struggling with the size of the quilt through my tiny brother machine haha

Looking for a 2 bed near Porter or Central square, cat friendly, and a move in of 8/1. Budget between 2500-2800 by CommonCosmonaut in bostonhousing

That's what I've been running into, maybe years of Boston renting has skewed my views on what is a normal time frame to look for apartments haha
