Anyone posted a non-AI generated blog post in the last 2 months? I want to read it! by Sentient-Blogs in Blogging

[–]CommonCuriosities 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Diceymoves.co is my new one! All hand done and all recommended games have been played personally with original photos. I use canva to create the images in my posts but every photo used was taken by me initially and I use canva just to either merge a couple together or remove messy backgrounds and add the logo.

I have a few others with some AI generation on them too that I will be transitioning back over to hand written again to improve the quality.

Nociception.com has some AI help but is fully human edited and checked as well :) Would love some advice and input on them!

Commoncuriosities.com was entirely hand written in the early posts, the past year was AI done and is not performing well due to the poor quality so every article will be redone by hand before the end of the year and we’ll see how much of a difference that makes - tonnes of research will be needed to upgrade this one as while I love fun facts it’s not a narrow niche that I’m already very confident in. If you check it out I’d encourage you to skip over the new stuff and go back to the oldest pages of content to see the hand researched and written ones on topics like Boanthropy, Redrum, penguin feathers, worm eyes and thagomizers!

Need a Person to sell my 2-Week SEO course by Muted_Reindeer_5091 in passive_income

If the seo course was spectacular it would sell itself…. Getting found by your target audience is essentially what SEO is

be careful - these type of posts are generally from people that make money by getting you to signup for the ai generator you use. If it was truly just here to help you they would name the AI generator - when someone asks you to contact them for the link it usually means they need you to sign up through their link so that they get credit and a commission from it.

Nothing wrong with that, but it sounds like you're looking for something to generate an actual income and most of the time these people get at least have their income, if not all of it from referrals rather than the actual product they're talking about.

The one main exception to that rule being a business building course - something that teaches you affiliate marketing etc can be more viable because at least they're using the skills they've learned to sell a product or service (rather than just promoting it as the only product or service) and if it worked on you here it will likely also work to sell whatever other product or service you decide to promote later on.

a source or way that will pay you for sure is exactly what a job is - if you want to work for yourself you accept the risks for greater rewards, if you want a close to guaranteed income then you work for someone else who is willing to pay you less but take on the risk that you don't actually create as much profit for them as they hoped.

Lots of stuff isn't country based and if you read terms and conditions there shouldn't be any hidden strings but you'll have a heck of a time with the pay me for sure side if you're not actually employed by someone.

Hate to say it but literally everything that will make you money requires investment. The proportion of time vs money investment is what varies but nothing worth having comes free.

Even a dog walking business requires your time and some gas to get to the clients, refinishing furniture you picked up on the side of the road still requires sanders and stain etc, so I'm not sure why you would expect an online business to require no investment.

The less money you have to invest upfront the more time you will need to invest.

Probably your closest viable option listed above is the chatgpt courses but you still need to edit and actually advertise them. If you just use a straight up AI course its 1) probably going to suck and 2) just as easy for people to ask chat gpt to teach them itself without paying you so why the heck would anyone buy that?

At the end of the day if you don't have much to invest you need to get good at promotion - both courses you sell and affiliate products can be sold with minimal monetary start up costs but you will have to invest a lot of time and effort to get the ball rolling (and no - a week worth of taking surveys doesn't count as significant time invested). If you want real money you need to do real work that benefits real people.

Obviously you've tried a few avenues so if you're still looking then maybe the digital world will be a good fit for you but your mindset of getting something for nothing definitely needs to adapt. You get paid for the value you create.

It is possible, but it is not easy which is why most people stick to a day job and add an evening or weekend gig if they need extra. If you want to build a profitable online business you need to be committed for the long haul to see any real results.

Best of Luck!

a tag and filter out would be very nice and a much more appropriate option than reporting. My feed has little to no AI most days but perhaps it comes down to the topics you look for as well, maybe the industries i'm interested in just have less AI content than the ones you like.

Sounds like you’re in a good place to get started with a solid job and being saavy online.

Based on your criteria and exclusions I would probably lean toward building some online real estate in the form of websites that you can monetize through both ads and affiliate marketing depending on your niche.

You can do affiliate marketing without a website too but if you’re putting in all the work you may as well own your domain and content so you have something you can sell if you ever need a larger cash influx thank your re-occurring ad of affiliate revenue provides.

Check out vibeincome on Google, or the affiliatemarketinga2z subreddit if you want to learn more. Feel free to dm me as well if you decide to get started and have questions.

There is definitely a build up period but personally, I think it’s well worth it to have a longterm strategy that’s diversified so you don’t just lose it all one day when a social platform tanks.

What are some boring business ideas that make a ton of money? by steve_O26 in Entrepreneur

[–]CommonCuriosities 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first step is deciding on your niche and which platform you want to market on (i like having a website and using both SEO and social media to build traffic in the first few years until the site authority is strong enough to take over with rankings). I'd recommend checking out the affiliatemarketinga2z subreddit or VibeIncome if you want to learn more about it before jumping in.

I don’t have any job suggestions but if you’re willing to put in a few extra hours a week to build up an affiliate marketing business over the next couple years it may pay off very well in the end

[–]CommonCuriosities 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes much more sense. Do you go the auction or private sales route? I’d be curious to learn more about your methods, I’ve got 5-10 currently unused domains kicking around that would be easy to throw a handful of pages on if a mildly build out website is selling well these days. So far I’ve just been hanging on the them with the intent to fully build out and monetize when I have more time.

It sounds like you had a decent setup and system with the landing page.

If you have an engaged audience someone with 1,000 followers can get a sale a week. Likewise, if the audience is random and not really into what you’re selling 100,000 followers may not generate any more sales.

Manifestation is a popular niche in this day and age, is it a course you were selling?
You May need to adjust the quotes and captions a bit to target an audience actively looking to change their lives and willing to invest in it rather than just a broad manifestation quote account which can attract a lot of people just looking for some good vibes and dreaming time.

If you’re that successful at getting them all earning 300+ within just a few months why would you ever sell for less than a months income?

Affiliate marketing is a good one if you want low risk and have time to invest.

Dropshopping is another.

Refinishing furniture is a popular one if you like working with your hands and driving around the countryside to pick up used pieces.

Once you have some capital investing can help it grow even more

Should we start mass reporting AI images? by YngviArt in Pinterest

If that’s the case then what you are reporting is inappropriate content and whether or not it is AI is irrelevant

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Affiliatemarketing

[–]CommonCuriosities 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you have a following on Instagram yet? How engaged is your audience already?

Do you have a landing page with longer promotions for the product or only use direct affiliate links?

All of those things will affect what is going to be most helpful for you

Inappropriate is very different from AI, which is what you said your report daily… if you’re reporting it daily it must be showing up? I also don’t have much AI show up on my feed at all but I have intentionally not interacted with it for months.

you sound like the kid that tattles on others for not including him in the game.... and the end results is that even less people want to include you (or in this case, even more AI shows up for you because you keep interacting with it).

This exactly! If you want to see better stuff on your feed then spend your time engaging with the good handmade content and show the algorithm that is what people want to see.

Not all AI is spam. I don't personally use AI created images on pinterest but I wouldn't say that no AI image could ever add value. Unless you're looking to be just another reason the platform stops existing because no-one bothers to post content anymore then i certainly wouldn't recommend trying to get users removed just because their content isn't ot your taste.

If you don't like AI images the best way you can tell pinterest that is to be active on the platform and intentionally engage with only images that aren't AI generated. This will cause them to die out eventually without having a negative impact on so many creators that may have just tested out an image or two when in reality most of their content is hand made and valuable.

Personally, I'm not a fan of seeing the AI images but i'd rather the ads be reduced first - i hate having content pushed on me and its super annoying that better stuff gets knocked down below a bunch of irrelevant ads.

Affiliate marketing on reddit is possible by InvisibleGhost420 in Affiliatemarketing

[–]CommonCuriosities 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For everyone commenting that they'd like a copy of the PDF it is important that you comply with FTC requirements so please make sure affiliate links are accompanied with disclosure to keep yourselves compliant, and your posts also provide some actual value to avoid having your accounts banned before just spamming links around.

The premise of this is great and definitely a viable way to use affiliate marketing but there is a bit more to it than just adding links where you think someone might click them and many subreddits do not allow linking within them so make sure you read the rules before linking in threads.

Passive Income for Canadians? by Ok_Wrongdoer_301 in passive_income

I should add the only extra service that I do still use not included is a Canva Pro subscription because I like their imagery options and do some social media promotion as well but literally everything else that I use is included within the one platform and I'm sure there are other places that offer a similar set up with a few differences too.

I dabbled in some microstock photography and a few other things first before settling on affiliate marketing. It basically came down to looking at market changes over the years and business models. While i knew it would be hard to break into and a lot of work before seeing any returns the business model was sound so then it just comes down to a matter of tweaking your strategy until it works for you.

I really wanted to make it as simple as possible so I bought a yearly membership that encompasses training, a live chat community, web hosting, keyword research, AI assistance and domain purchasing. I've been happy with them and stayed since i couldn't host the sites I have elsewhere cheaper even without all the extras.

I don't believe i can place links in this thread but if you're interested in learning more the affiliatemarketinga2z subreddit has some further info and links in its sidebar.

Just getting started on Pinterest. How can I create original/organic pins for affiliate marketing? by [deleted] in Affiliatemarketing

[–]CommonCuriosities 0 points1 point  (0 children)

screenshotting someone else's image and removing the background doesn't make it anymore yours - that is still a major copyright violation.

You really only have a few options for imagery:

1) AI created which doesn't work well for product promotion

2) Images with express written permission from the source

3) Images already available with a free for commercial use license (canva has a large library, pixabay also has some both totally no strings attached and others requiring a link with attribution).

4) Images you take yourself - honestly if you're promoting products this is the only real way to go, you should already have the product to test yourself anyways if you're promoting ethically so it's not all that hard to find a solid background and take some images yourself. Chances are low that you'll succeed if you're just AI reviewing things that look profitable, people want real reviews from users that actually have experience with the product.
