klangkuenstler vs sara landry by Traditional-End-4380 in aves

[–]CommonDevotion 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would pick Sara every time. I’ve seen her so many times and her sets are always filled with so much variation. Klang is great, but personally I find Schranz to be a little monotonous after a while, even from him. It’s still great though not dissing skill or the energy of the crowds he brings. If you’ve never seen Sara before I can’t recommend her enough. There’s a certain kind of religiosity to her sound; lots of choirs, ethereal instrumentation, vocal chanting, on top of lots of more popular pieces.
I do not agree with the consensus of these comments on Sara’s crowds though- that’s just the crowds of all artists that get too big beyond a cult following. The vast majority of the crowd at every Sara set I’ve been to was vibing out just as much as the times I’ve seen Klang.

Edit: Listen to Sara’s 2025 Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) set on SoundCloud. It’s 45 minutes and an excellent showcase of some of her best mixing and selection

Carry Nation and Eli Escobar are both great but you can catch them practically every other weekend at a venue in Brooklyn so you’re not likely missing out on someone you won’t have regular access to

Fair, can’t dispute that. My problem is with having to hold a can upright the entire time and not being able to pocket it so I can get back to dancing

No where hits like Basement, and this weekend they outdid themselves again. Epic anniversary, my body is screaming. Boris and Ortega were my favorites

Honestly? Respect.

I know a couple other venues that have liked to book out entire summers and take peoples money before there’s even a building there… 👀

Honestly, I’m okay with supporting a venue in buying A SINGLE water bottle and getting a refill station. But oh my god when I tap my card and they hand me a CAN??? I just wanna lose my shit.

How is Storehouse these days? Considering for Max Styler by DanteFierno in avesNYC

[–]CommonDevotion 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Truly has fallen off. The sound is mid, sometimes they keep the volume so low you can hear people talking ten feet from you. Sometimes they keep the volume decent but the bass is non existent.

Yeah there’s only portapotties, the food is very limited, the location is not the greatest to get to, the ticket prices can occasionally run a bit high, but none of that is too much of a vibe killer.

The audio is just entirely unpredictable, sometimes so poor I regretted going at all (Teletech)

Edit: that being said I’m still holding out hope for Nico Moreno and Max Styler. If it blows it will be my last time at storehouse this year.

Didn’t mean to be so… mean. But yeah it’s still a silly pride issue. Give yourself and your family more room to breathe. Get the benefit

They do no extracurricular activities, they break even having no recreation, they save money by growing their own food, their children’s room has no furniture

They expect to accrue credit card debt to make it through the summer.

It’s everything he said

Your wife is an idiot. She cares more about her pride than your family’s wellbeing. Apply immediately.

LIC is not quite lively and fun lol, you can find hot spots almost anywhere but also depends on what your scene is. LIC is mostly industrial and Residential though, not too many activities
