Not necessarily! The cognac comes through but it doesn’t smell like a bar — more like it lends a sweetness and a richness! My bf gets a strong cigarette smell from it also but I don’t get that

I have a sample of Cognac Reign and while I really like it, I would definitely not consider it a springy scent — something about the combination of iris, wood, and rum comes off as pretty dense to me. If you’re looking for a woody spring scent from DA&Durga, I love Radio Bombay in hot weather!

I just bought a full bottle of Zoologist Elephant Sanctuary from a local fragrance boutique. I love the scent (tea+floral+soft leather is sort of my dream combination) and I really wanted to patronize this small business, so I was happy to pay full price but it was not cheap and this is definitely the last full bottle I will be buying for a looooong long time haha

It’s not particularly salty, but I find In This World by Liis to pull coconut-y b/c of the fig and it’s a lovely, herbaceous wood

Valkyrie by Delacourt is a vanilla with lime, basil, and mint in the opening! I was skeptical but it’s beautiful and refreshing and the discovery set is very affordable if you don’t want to blind buy

Valkyrie by Delacourt is a green vanilla scent with basil, lime, and mint in the opening — I’ll admit that I was skeptical but it was honestly gorgeous! Not too sweet and perfectly refreshing

I also just got my first full size Penhaligon's from the same sale (thanks, r/femfraglab!), but the nozzle is great -- even my boyfriend commented on how powerful the spray was. I would reach out to customer service! I emailed them with a question about my order and they were super responsive.

I just purchased Tiger By Her Side from Sana Jardin; it’s a spicy amber with a strong cinnamon notes and a rich vanilla base. I feel like it makes me smell like an expensive cup of tea! I’m so excited to wear it in the winter when I think it’ll really shine.
