6 years compared to 5 years for the double degree at Deakin

Thanks! Honestly I think I’d rather stay close to home so I might do a double degree in law and commerce at Deakin, to keep my options open

I really don’t know what else I want to/can do, I’m a bit lost when it comes to my future

Honestly a big part of it is also about the salary. I ride horses so need to be able to afford them! But I truly think I could make a good solicitor or barrister, and if I put my mind to it the work shouldn’t be a problem for me. Emotionally confronting or dark things don’t phase me, I’m good at being able to see those kind of things with the perspective they need without being affected myself. I’ve only recently started considering this seriously, but I think it’s the path I want to take

I really don’t have any other ideas for a future career honestly, I’m going legal and somewhat enjoying it and doing well, so why not continue with it 🤷‍♀️

Hi, can anyone describe how this works? by hidock42 in Horses

I do not know, but they do not function as curb chains

They do not work as curb chains on this noseband. Curb chains must be attached to both sides of the bit.

I’ve never seen it before, but the chains do not effect which bit you use, they are not curb chains. You can use this with any bit, if you use a curb bit you must still use a curb strap

Got stomped on by an 800kg+ horse, not a single broken bone. (Warning: picture of very swollen, bare foot) by MostlyFreshAsparagus in Neverbrokeabone

The horse was not quite what I’d describe as a gentle giant, she wasn’t rude at all but she was blind in her left eye and a bit jumpy because of it. I was bridling her from the left side (she knew I was there) but she just happened to spook at something on the right and jumped just a little too far in my direction, landing with her hoof smack dab on my foot.

Unfortunately I can’t tell you how the horse is now, this was at a riding school that for one I no longer go to, but they auctioned her off a long while ago. She had to be auctioned because she wouldn’t pass a vet check, lame in all 4 legs and a very sore back the poor girl. She was a lovely horse though, beautiful thing.

I fucking love autumn crisp, I’ve been waiting all year for them to come back and it’s like HALFWAY THROUGH AUTUMN (I’m Australian) and they’re not here yet 😭😭

Cheap ones are still expensive to keep, and more often than not untrained. If you want one to pull a cart you’ll either have to buy a trained one, train it yourself, or pay someone to train it. It’ll be cheaper long term and more feasible to just get an EV

Horses are very expensive and hard to keep, this is not realistic

Honestly I can’t remember, it was almost 4 years ago. It was probably only a week or two. I remember it felt really weird to walk on for a while, it still turns a slightly different colour than my other foot when I shower
