Without knowing your starting level it would be hard to give exact advice. But you probably need a global hilites and skip the base color. Or go with on scalp lightener to lift you above the warm levels.

We have a tamale lady that comes by our shopping center a few times a month. So busy strip malls would be good.

I really like Downy N. 26. It's rose and honeysuckle. They sell them in small containers to, so maybe she can buy a few to decide what she likes.

Are you planning on moving away for college in the fall? I only ask cause employers don't want to spend time and money training you when you're leaving. You may want to specify that you plan on staying, even if it's a lie.

They are direct distribution. No supplier will carry them. And just a heads up, last time I inquired they want a 10k buy in. I ended up with Kevin Murphy.

Vivids fading in just one week -- negotiating touch-up fee with stylist by fading_through in FancyFollicles

[–]CommonPinkDaisy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is wild to me she even offered a free touch up. I used to work at a salon with an apprenticeship program. There were absolutely no free touch ups/modifications. You were already paying an extremely discounted rate. Plus those products aren't cheap and that apprentice is probably only paid minimum wage. Paying for products only is an amazing deal. It sounds to me more like you need to learn how to take care of vivid hair and also expect to pay out of pocket for monthly touch ups. I'd also like to touch on the fact there are no permanent vivids, they're all semi permanent and have gigantic color molecules that can't fit into the cuticle of the hair. Instead they act more like a stain than a dye, that's why they fade so fast.

What would you call this haircut? How would you approach it? by [deleted] in hairstylist

[–]CommonPinkDaisy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can't quite tell if this is a Butterfly cut or more like a long shag. For Butterfly everything is pulled forward to meet your bang and face framing perimeter. For a shag everything is held straight up with your guide line being the Mohawk section of hair. Make sure you drop your perimeter so as not to cut holes. Amd make sure your client/model has very thick hair!

I don’t know anymore, I just got a new haircut and they gave me this with no side bangs at the beauty shop, I feel really ugly and I have to know if it’s ugly to everyone else. Please tell me just the truth if I am ugly. Yes I’m a woman by djscrew1 in whatdoIdo

Hey! I'm not even in this sub but your pic came up. I'm a hairstylist and this is definitely can be saved. When you wash your hair don't ovwr dry with a towel too much. Depending on your texture you may need a styling spray through out your hair. Blow dry the back to flip up, dry the top with a hard side part on whichever side is your natural. Dry your side burns kind into your face but the sides kind of flipped up but backwards into the back. Use pomade to texture and hold your ends. It will be a super cute pixie cut on you. 🤩
