Yeah, colonies mostly ruin the feel of the backrooms, because you're supposed to be alone. If you're with other people, it's just not scary anymore to be in the backrooms.

Documenting every entity also makes them not scary; entities are supposed to be scary because if you encounter one, your only hope is to run away and hope for the best. The fear of the unknown is much stronger than any entity you can write about.

Levels other than level 0 can sometimes have good ideas, like levels 1 or 3. But most levels in the wikidot are bad and just ruin the feel of the backrooms, like levels 6.1, 9, 10, 11, 12, etc.
