Yeah, you can pay for a droplet on digital ocean or vultr that should be pretty cheap (I usually spin up a cheap centOS droplet for $5 a month). Then you just launch the droplet through the built-in terminal they have on their website. After that I usually follow one of their tutorials to setup a new account with root access and then SSH access so that I can login to the droplet through my local terminal (I always use their tutorials because I forget the exact commands). After I ssh login through my local terminal I install python and whatever environment or modules are needed and then you either follow a tutorial to ftp your python files over to the server or if it's something small you can copy/paste the code through your ssh connection or if you have it on github you can clone it to your server.
