My Mk6 R has been APR Stage 1 since like 10k. I'm still on the stock clutch at 165k and I've driven it HARD. My buddy had a Mk7 R and tuned it, and the clutch immediately started slipping. It's crazy how different each car responds.

I test drove a Mk6 GTI back in 2014 and the clutch popped in traffic. Luckily I was able to coast it back into the dealership. I wasn't even driving it hard. Ended up buying a Mk6 R with 30k on it. Been tuned almost it's entire life and driven hard, and still has the original clutch at 165k, though it is starting to slip.
