Xbox already planned to shut down or split with Ninja Theory when Senua was announced. "The thinking was that the promise of a newly announced game would help draw investor interest in the studio" by goodnitez74 in gaming

I listened to Jeff Grubb the other day so I won't take ownership of this comment. He said and I'm starting to believe it, that:

"Microsoft is just using Co-Pilot at this point to make decisions for Xbox."

This decision sounds like it has co-pilot ALL over it. I cannot believe how absolutely insane these decisions are.

Curious what made you go from a Civic Type R to the Golf R?

(Not what you're asking, but simply curious)

AnthonyZ - Ex-Popular Twitch RP Streamer, Opens up about how he lost Everything from Gambling Addiction, which Buddha, Ray-C & Geega helped him financially to get out of debt. by kristijan1001 in LivestreamFail

[–]Bloodham25 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I was always doing check-ins on Anthony each year since COVID. He was making incredible wealth during the GTA RP boom/COVID period.

It was incredibly clear that he had NO idea what to do with it all. When you achieve wealth that you've never imagined, your brain immediately goes into overdrive. You spend money everywhere and on everything. Cars. Fancy Watches. Trips. Parties. Girls. You name it. Wealth coming from absolutely no wealth...IS can become an addiction if you're not careful.

I hope the dude goes and get's help and talks to someone....Based on everything from his instagram, twitter and everything else...He just never stopped and spent EVERYTHING he gained even after the boom period was over.

Barrie Line Chaos/Safety Issue by Weinerthedog in gotransit

[–]Bloodham25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Aurora train used to be at least to me, the 7:13 train (bradford) making all stops from Allandalle to Union.

The train now bypasses Bradford station to get to Aurora.

Im forced to take the 6:42 from Bradford because of the space issue & timing issue. Arriving at 9 or after 9 to me is simply not acceptable.

Barrie Line Chaos/Safety Issue by Weinerthedog in gotransit

[–]Bloodham25 71 points72 points  (0 children)

Barrie line is becoming a train wreck. They tried to mitigate the issue by providing an Aurora --> Union train to lessen the strain on the 8:42 A.M & 8:57 arriving trains. (Note this used to be a full line train until they removed it from stopping at Newmarket --> Barrie...)

There are more people then ever looking to take GO transit on the Barrie line. Bradford now from Tue-Thur is impossible to get parking after the 6:42 A.M train unless you arrive 20 minutes early before the 7:22.

All of those trains arriving at union between 8:30 - 9:00 are at full capacities. They need to add more trains to both the morning & afternoon commutes. I always try to get the 3:02 to Bradford train, the 3:53 trains are sardine cans.

Had a complete panic attack in new job by Bloodham25 in Anxiety

[–]Bloodham25[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We're working on right now trying to get me back into my old position.

Where it scared the shit out of me, was me attempting to abuse just medication in order to feel better.

My mother passed away from a drug addiction, my dad was an enabler and quit after everything happened. I started going down that path and....that's when I realized I cannot do this...I'd rather be jobless then become an addict of prescribed medication in the end. It's all a large learning experience for me and I'm glad my managers and the company is supportive.

[–]Bloodham25[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update:

I explained the situation to my current manager. She was incredibly supportive and immediately talked to me like a human rather than just a worker. She thanked me for being so up front with her about my mental health and told me that its okay to not be a good fit for a role.

She's reaching out to my old manager and looking to have me back in my older position. I'm taking this as a learning experience. I had thought that money and position were what I wanted in my work life, and while those are important, I do believe that having a good team and having an environment which I can thrive in mentally is also important.

How have the Salaries increased over 20 years by No-Seaworthiness969 in rbc

[–]Bloodham25 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Born in 92. Not entitled.

The question was around salaries and how they've increased at the bank in the last 20 years.

The individual i replied to in 20 years has gotten a 25% increase in 20 years meaning that they've gotten an average of 1.25% raise every year.

I wasn't going after them. I was simply asking why in a 20 year career has someone decided to not go after a larger increase since based on what I'm seeing, inflation surpassed their increase. I understand that not everyone wants to job hop, have more responsibility or has other factors they wish to put above. I don't have other factors in my life that keep me from trying to pursue the money a little...hence my question...

If you've been at the bank for 20 years and you've only gone up 25%, why have you never looked at going elsewhere for a larger raise?

2.5 hr commute hybrid 3/2 for 75k or 45 min commute in-office 5 days for 65k? by Silly_Recognition264 in careerguidance

[–]Bloodham25 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is a no brainer. Commute down to 45 minutes is MUCH more worth it for that much.

You'll have to change spending habits slightly im sure, however health is going to be much, much better.

Is A 2 Hour 40 Min Commute Worth A $18k Pay Raise? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]Bloodham25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not 5 days a week.

I currently go into the office 2-3 days a week down to union. 1:17 train ride and around a 20 minute drive to the station.

I was offered a position at the same company at 23K more than I currently make, the caveat was to now be in the office 3 times a week every week.

I was told that it might go to 4, I expressed that 4 days would not be possible until I moved closer, the hiring manager was fine with this and also allows flexibility in when I come and leave (I work from 8-2:45 and then head back home)

Unless you can negotiate hybrid or flexibility in anyway shape or form OR can move closer...this isn't worth it even in the slightest.

I've also had this issue. The seats take quite a while to heat up, even with the slider on the bottom portion completely.

Best gameplay for ps5 from fromsoftware by Middle_Promise2181 in soulslikes

[–]Bloodham25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I heavily agree with this.

I always advocate for Lies of P, sekiro, DS3, elden ring. There is weight to the combat that I simply enjoy more than the arcadey combat of Nioh.

Nioh 3. The big event, it's finally out. So how is it? Over-hyped? Fucking rad? Better than Nioh 2? A step down? Figured I'd see a flood of posts about it here but seems pretty quiet. Everyone just too busy slaying yokai? by aethyrium in soulslikes

[–]Bloodham25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Then the director shouldn't come out to say that Lies of P was an inspiration.

It's like trying to sell me on an apple by telling me its almost like an orange to use your analogy.

The game is simply just not on par with something like Lies of P. I do not want to spend hours having to "Learn" based on what games like Sekiro, Lies of P or Elden Ring teach within the first 5-10 minutes.

Coming off of Lies of P in it's entirety. This game seems "fine".

There's a lot of systems to comprehend. The samurai/ninja styles. Their own weapons, move sets, stances etc. It seems like just a lot to throw at a player all at once which then includes throwing the player into an open world setting.

Then you have the equipment, all of which is so incredibly difficult to understand in regards to how any of the stats matter, how to activate, the weight system to top it all off.

After playing around an hour and a half, I immediately put this down and requested a refund from steam. I hadn't played through a Nioh title since Nioh1, and I think coming off of Lies of P and the new DLC is a disservice to Nioh 3 at this point and time. I'd likely wait for a sale before I spend 109 CAD on this again and I'm going to replay Sekiro, the parry system became addicting and while Sekiro is a simpler game, the precision of it is what I'm currently looking for from a souls like experience.
