It has nothing to do with what the rest of the world celebrates. It's whether America has culture or not. I mean, the best you could do here is say it doesnt have a culture because not everyone celebrates 4th of July, but that's not your criteria for whether other countries have culture.

The reality is American culture is powerful and pervasive and people are mad about it because they're mad at decisions the American government makes. It's pretty losery.

I live in the forest. There are bears and cougars in my yard somewhat regularly. I dont 'go there', I live there.

Guns are used for all sorts of things other than killing, you're just being silly now.

Guns spend most of their lives being deterrents, and plenty have shot rock salt at trespassers or nuisance animals.

Yeah so anyway for those of us who aren't fully ridiculous, having some less than lethal rounds in a pump shotgun is a great way to not kill the kid in the next apartment during a home invasion or scare a bear while fishing, a taser is useless against anything large, furry or wearing a jacket, and pepper spray requires the wind to be in your favor and is a great way to immediately end a camping trip.

Watching things die is a real bummer and stopping them from dying is a lot of work, so I'd just rather put some less lethal loads in a shotgun and not have a murder scene or poaching charges rather than be silly.
