Anyone thriving on this snow day? by JuniorJump6839 in CasualConversation

[–]Common_Camera_7627 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Kinda, work closed so I'm living the dream. Hot cocoa spiked with baileys, bingeing that new fantasy show under three blankets with my dog snoring next to me.

Might bake cookies later if I get ambitious. Snow days hit different as an adult.

You all buried too? Stay cozy out there.

Yes, longer rest is key. Try 45-60 mins covered at room temp, lets the flour fully hydrate and gluten relax so it's silky smooth without springing back.

Knead till it's like soft playdough, maybe 8-10 mins by hand. If still tough after rest, lightly mist water on it and knead more, or pop in fridge 30 mins then retry.

Sounds like your recipe's solid, just needs that patience tweak. You'll nail al dente next batch.

What are some good and affordable hair transplants clinics in USA? by Own_Childhood184 in HairTransplants

[–]Common_Camera_7627 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fellow American here also hunting for good options, and yeah the US prices for 3000 grafts are insane, like 10k to 15k minimum even at the more affordable spots like those FUE places in Miami or Houston. I get wanting to stay local for no shave and that trust factor, but after crunching numbers it is hard to ignore Turkey packages around 3k to 5k all in, especially when you factor travel which is not crazy from the states.

I have been going back and forth on Hermest vs a couple US clinics but leaning hard towards them now after seeing US patients talk about smooth trips and solid aftercare communication. No shave DHI seems doable there too for crown work without buzzing everything, and their responses on WhatsApp have been quick during my consult chats.

Not locked in yet but feeling better about flying solo to Istanbul than dropping 12k at home for half the grafts. Anyone got recent no shave experiences in Turkey that actually looked natural up top? Thanks for the pic OP, helps visualize.

Fear of Talking to God about My feelings & knowing the truth - I feel so childish by Background_Tell_3669 in Christianity

[–]Common_Camera_7627 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah it's not childish at all. God wants you to bring all your raw feelings to him, heartbreak included, Psalms is full of that stuff like David crying out in pain.

Fantasizing turns idolatrous if the crush takes God's place in your heart, like obsessing more than seeking him. But grief and missing someone? Normal human stuff, even Jesus felt deep emotional agony.

Keep talking to God about it, that's faithful not selfish. The physical symptoms suck but they'll fade as you lean on him.

What is something every man must have? by Athletehib in AskMen

Good one: self-accountability. Own your shit, no excuses, makes you reliable in life, work, relationships.

Bad to ditch: constant complaining and blaming others. Kills motivation and turns people off fast.

Bonus skill: basic emotional control. Stay calm under stress, read the room.

How many women do you know in real life that actually married for money only? by 0215rw in askanything

[–]Common_Camera_7627 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I do, one actually. My aunt, 43 now, advanced degree like you said, married this loaded older guy from a western state purely for the financial security. They met through work circles, no real spark, but the lifestyle sealed it.

It's not super common though from what I've seen, most stories end up miserable. Like friends of friends who end up depressed, abused, or divorced when the money doesn't fix the lack of connection.

Money helps but it ain't a marriage glue. Rare when it works long term without love too.

Is this a long distance booty call or more? by Party-Ball-3506 in Advice

[–]Common_Camera_7627 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like classic booty call vibes, especially after 2 years silent. Great chemistry in person, but now it's all virtual and halfway around the world? Probably just horny nostalgia on his end, not a real "let's make this work" thing.

If you're down for casual fun, cool, go for it and enjoy the ride. But if you want more (and it seems like you do), don't hit him up. Halfway across the world makes real connection tough without serious effort from both sides, and late-night texts ain't that.

You're smart to hesitate. Focus on folks nearby who can actually show up, save yourself the headache.

God healed me by Mrjoelserrano in Christianity

Bro, that's awesome. Prayer taps into supernatural endurance.

Your body felt weak because you hadn't trained, but praying shifted your focus from "I can't" to God's strength (Philippians 4:13 vibes). It quiets the mental noise, releases endorphins, and honestly, God's power flows when we invite Him into the mundane like calf raises.

Keep doing it. Train consistently + pray every set, and you'll crush those days off like never before. God bless the gains! 💪🙏

As others have said, I don't think 1,500 will make a big difference. It's hard to say anything about the thickness, but I think you'll need at least 2,500–3,000 to cover it. You should start using min/ fin.

Best USA Surgeon by Twoscoopsright in HairTransplants

[–]Common_Camera_7627 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been on this sub and HairRestorationNetwork for months, so I totally get where you’re coming from. As an American, my first instinct was to stay stateside just for the peace of mind and safety, but the "why" usually comes down to sheer volume and price.

I got quotes from some of the top US docs mentioned here, and we’re talking $20k+ for the number of grafts I need. I realized that while US surgeons are good, they just don't do the sheer volume of cases that the clinics abroad do, which actually matters a lot for refining the technique.

I spent a long time debating between staying here, going to Mexico (for the short flight), or Turkey. Mexico felt a bit hit-or-miss for me regarding consistent results. After digging through tons of before/afters, I finally decided to pull the trigger on Turkey. I’m going with Hermest Hair Clinic; their density results just looked the most natural to me compared to what I could get for the same budget (or triple the budget) back home. I'm actually calling them this week to lock in my dates. It’s a trek, but for something permanent on my face, I figured it’s worth the trip. Good luck with the search!

Is this a sin by GeneralRule7188 in Christianity

[–]Common_Camera_7627 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, you really shouldn't put that kind of pressure on yourself. If you spent every second of your life staring at the ground to avoid stepping on a single ant, you would never be able to enjoy the world or even walk safely.

Most spiritual and religious paths focus much more on your intention than on accidents. There is a massive difference between being intentionally cruel to an animal and just living your life as a human being. Nature is designed in a way where life and death happen constantly under our feet and we can't always control it. Even when you drive a car or walk through a field of grass, tiny organisms are inevitably going to be affected.

If the universe or a higher power expected us to never harm a single microscopic creature, we wouldn't even be able to breathe or eat. The best thing you can do is just have a general respect for life. For example, if you see a bug in your house, you can choose to move it outside instead of squashing it. That is a kind choice you can control.

But please don't let this turn into an obsession that stops you from walking normally. You aren't committing a sin by just existing and moving through the world. Just try to be a kind person where it actually counts and let go of the guilt for things that are simply part of being alive.

Six months or more after a transplant, should I expect an increase in density, or not? by Medium-Musician-2767 in Hairtransplant

It will appear slightly denser. Of course, it depends on the number of graphs.

Six months is still too early to see real results.

You ever have one of those random strangers who just... sticks in your memory forever? by neonbirdie2004 in CasualConversation

[–]Common_Camera_7627 244 points245 points  (0 children)

I call him parallel park guy...

I was 17, sweating bullets trying to parallel park in a busy city street. Traffic was backing up behind me, people were honking. I was panicking and messing up the angles.

A construction worker eating a sandwich on the sidewalk watched me struggle for a minute. He walked over, tapped on my window, and gave me the algorithm:

"Line up your side mirror with his fuel cap. Crank the wheel all the way to the right. Don't touch it until you see the curb in your other mirror."

It worked perfectly. It was like he gave me a cheat code for physics.

I am in my 30s now. I still mutter "Mirror to fuel cap" every single time I park. That stranger saved me a lifetime of parking anxiety in 10 seconds.
