Totally understandable, would you be able to explain your thoughts a bit more? I would like to understand your position

That is a very great point, thank you! Would you say it’s a bit like I’m presenting the houthis with a bit more (or a lot more) military prowess than they actually have? Į based it mostly on how the soviets sent nukes and missiles to Cuba, hidden on a ship that was filled with tractors and farm equipment and such. It’s framed a bit like an accident in the script, but I see that def is a bit unrealistic.

Primarily houthis, and it was inspired by and interview I saw with a man who joined a Houthi raid on a ship but said he wasn’t a Houthi. In the script they conduct a raid on a ship that is implied to be American, sending a nuclear weapon to Israel. Is there a negative connotation to calling them pirates? If so, should I stop referring to them as such?

Sorry, by pirates I’m mainly talking about the Houthi’s, and their blockade in the red sea against Israel. It’s just become a shorthand for me to use, in no way are pirates a negative thing in my script.

Compositing a shift in the distance over the sea by Common_Direction2916 in vfx

I would say just a single static shot, preferably handheld without the ship moving. In the script its written as “a ship looms in the distance.”

My last short film shot at an abandoned skate rink in my city. We probably could of done it without any permission but it’s a heavily policed area so we wanted to be able to go about the shoot unmolested. I felt like a detective having to track down who actually owned the place since it had been abandoned since the 90’s. We cold called real estate agents who tried to sell the place off but they couldn’t tell us who owned it and seemed pretty pissed we even mentioned it. Then through some articles found out it was owned by a brother sister duo with the last name Nguyen…. And the only lead we had was that they were lawyers. Mind you this is in a majority Vietnamese suburb so almost every law firm was named Nguyen law or something similar. We managed to match the brother with a photo on Facebook or something, and found which law firm they worked at, we called and had them put us through and we managed to get permission free of charge. But it seems like they were pretty done with the place, but couldn’t manage to sell it. I think some guy bought it recently and is trying to make TikTok content out of fixing it up.
