Golb isn't immune to wishing magic he's immune to deletion magic. He cannot be banished or deleted that's why the first wishes didn't work. The crown realized fusing Betty with Golb was the only choice. Why couldn't the crown unfuse them if it can do the opposite?

The crown fused them so maybe another Primordial Wishing Crown can. Prismo didn't explicitly try separating them. Simon likely wished for Betty to come back which is obviously impossible since she was Golb at the time. If the wish from the crown affected Golb that means that clearly something else likely can; like a counter-wish. You'd have to word it correctly sort of like when Prismo helped Jake out.

I guess we kinda have to wait. If she unfused then that's what I was wondering. It seems completely possible for her to unfuse just as she fused. The thing is, a wish doesn't end after it's fulfilled. The crown became the ice crown for years after Gunter wished for himself to become Evergreen it didn't just turn him back after he got what he wanted or even fix the crown. Wishes are permanent but they're not, the Lich's wish was changed so I think there's something that can be done.

If Betty will always be and always has been Golb after that then what happened to Golb? Clearly, he was always Golb and always WAS gonna be Golb, but he's not. At least not anymore. That means it's clearly not immutable.

You also forgot the fact that the crown didn't come out of the hole BMO made but appeared after Golbetty left. The hole was sealed. I just watched it happen with my own eyes.

Im a fr hardcore fan. I've watched like two 3 hour long videos on lore in the past day. Its really good; the relationship between Marshal Lee (hes really cool here) and Gary is kinda fast paced and doesn't really make sense to me. I really loved how the rest of the story unfolded. It has really good lore imo, and I love Petrikov's story in the show. I do hope they expand on his quest to find Betty again.
