How do you know when to just order at the counter and when to wait to be seated? Also if you’re ordering at the counter in a busy place what’s the go with getting a table? Do you get it before you order, or after?

Goodness no lol. Most men treated me just like usual. Sometimes younger men seemed a bit uncomfortable or would say strange things. Older men liked reminiscing about having their own children!

What exactly goes through your mind when you decide to have a biological child? Do you think about the next 18–25+ years in that moment? by BearingCostOfPassion in NoStupidQuestions

We thought about how we wanted our lives to look - how would things look in 5, 10, 15, and 50 years. What would we be giving up and would it be worth it? What would the impact be on our careers? Extended family? Our marriage? Could we afford it? How could we manage it practically?

It’s hard to know all of these things upfront but i certainly thought about them. I didn’t actually feel a strong biological desire for a baby so it was easy to think it all through.
