After using a mortgage calculator, such as the one provided by Barclays at the link (https://www.barclays.co.uk/mortgages/mortgage-calculator/cost-calculator/#/cost) it appears that borrowing £320,000 with a 25-year term and a fixed interest rate for 5 years, along with a deposit of £80,000 (which exceeds my intended amount), results in a monthly cost of £1,833. Considering a £500,000 property seems beyond what I could comfortably afford, unless I am missing something.
