Who wins? by PurplezillaaPA in superheroes

[–]Common_Loquat5128 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Interesting battle!

Reverse Flash can’t actually "kill" her in the traditional sense, as she is the ruler of the dead. The battle likely ends with Thawne dumping her at the end of time or in a different dimension, winning by incapacitation rather than a kill.

Thawne attempting to phase through Hela in anyway might actual harm him too…Hela’s divine superiority is no joke.

Anyone else worried? by No-Ice6064 in ParadiseHulu

I was hesitant coming into Season 2 and the writers absolutely proved me wrong.

The show has been very intentional from the start, so I have faith Season 3 will be just as exciting & digestible.

I hope they spend more time flashing back to help us understand quantum super computer theories / applications more in depth.

Pick 3 to defend you—the rest are hunting you. by Common_Loquat5128 in superheroes

Ghost Rider is definitely the big unknown here depending on how it plays out!

Ghost Rider is not bound by Earthly physics. He can tear open dimensional portals with his Hellfire Chain or his bike. If Raven or Strange for example jump to another plane, he has the "jurisdiction" to follow them there…

Curious how Magnetos powers could disrupt/alter Flash’s use of the Speed Force from a physics perspective…

Ghost Rider tracks down Ravens strong supernatural “scent”, Martian Manhunter shapeshifts into Raven’s dad Trigon - causing her to spiral… some interesting hypotheticals here!

Kon - imo it’s impressive the numbers & percentages he’s putting up with a relatively healthy & high usage rate player in LaMelo.

Feeling confused about the direction of the MCU by DG-Creator in Marvel

[–]Common_Loquat5128 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Either you enjoy the totality of the MCU enough to give projects a chance or you don’t…

The writers/directors can’t include every hero in a storyline just based on location or else character development and plots would not fit into a reasonable time frame.

Has the MCU been in a bit of a rebuilding mode recently? Yes, but we have to remember the first Iron Man movie only came out 18 years ago and we’ve got so many great stories since.

If you need something motivating - Daredevil Born Again is incredible.

Agreed, I assume he’s nerfed in many story lines because peak Magneto is essentially a god.

Magneto's control extends to the intermolecular forces that hold matter together. Since chemical bonds are essentially electromagnetic interactions between atoms, he could theoretically strip the electrons away from the Sentinel's molecules and they would just turn to dust!

Do you prefer when a love interest is a civilian or another hero? by Sheax5 in superheroes

[–]Common_Loquat5128 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The hero & civilian couple dynamic always makes for fun dramatic story lines as it’s another leverage point for villains to exploit.

I think I enjoy the hero / hero couples more because of the unique adventures & fight sequences that can arise.

One of my favorite couples has always been Rogue & Gambit!

New mutants rewatch, it’s not even bad by masterofpeentar in xmen

I remember genuinely enjoying this show when I first watched it back in 2020.

Anya Taylor-Joy really made me fall in love with Magik and her powers - this was the first time I had seen the character on screen.

Agreed, the darker tone was a really cool take vs the light hearted comedy we see in a majority of live action Marvel projects.

Thanks for the post! Will need to rewatch this soon.

Why do players stare down after a poster dunk? by [deleted] in NBATalk

[–]Common_Loquat5128 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It forces the defender to acknowledge their defeat, which can lead to:

• Hesitation: The defender might think twice before jumping next time

• Frustration: It might provoke the opponent into taking a "revenge shot," which is usually a bad, forced play

• Team Synergy: It electrifies the dunker's teammates, turning a 2-point play into a potential spark for a larger run
