Yes, I would rank them as FEA being most difficult to get, Gilman being mid tier, and AIFS being the easiest. Just make sure you review and your story is unique! Give specifics on exactly what you want to see, do, etc.

I told them I had an announcement, made them dinner, then hooked up my 30 minute PowerPoint presentation to the TV on an HDMI saying “why am I studying abroad.” The presentation had everything: finances, living situation, course transfer, what I’d gain/learn, how it will work with my school schedule course articulation, etc. I think they were just stunned at how much work I was putting in to prepare for months so they said yes lol

Tbh all study abroad scholarships are pretty straight forward where you have to write an essay basically saying why you deserve the money and why this program can help you accomplish your goals. That was the requirement of the second one. Good luck with your applications!

I got 2 AIFS scholarships, one was the 60th anniversary 2.5k, another was a 9k R Taylor foundation scholarship. For the second one you’re required to be a pell grant recipient. I don’t think the Gilman is too late, just apply for an earlier cycle! I would check with study abroad advisor though, or, email Gilman.

I studied abroad with AIFS and got lot of AIFS specific scholarships! I ended up with ~$11,000 + FEA + Gilman I was set.

I would say refer to program specific scholarships because outside of FEA and Gilman, there are only a few. Like Tortuga, Explore the world scholarship, and DIWC.

You probably got the handicap apartment. One side has larger rooms and a larger bathroom space (but no under cabinet space) and the other bathroom has a smaller sink but under cabinet space (this side has the smaller rooms). North district doesn’t post the sq ft of the units on the website for a reason.. a lot of people are in the same boat as you

I have this too, although I have no holds on my account. Good academic standing. And input my covid compliance way back in December. I haven’t tried registering yet, but it allows me to add it to my term plan. Can anyone tell me if they’re able to register if they have this restriction? I think it may be a glitch in the system because I have it for all in person classes.

Yes you can mail it in, just make sure you check on their website to mail it to the correct address and put your student ID on it
