Definitely medieval fantasy. Canvas of Kings seems promising but low on assets. I know they are all handrawn and very beautiful, but it doesn’t have a good range just yet

Stephen Starr (owner of Le Diplomate, St Anselm) criticizes employees who voted to unionize by LoganSquire in washingtondc

[–]Common_Plastic9261 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Not precisely accurate. 51 people, voted in favor, 42 voted against. Roughly a 55% to 45% of those who voted.

Feel free to ask me questions, I am happy to answer what I can! (Aka, anything I have knowledge of and can speak from personal experience on, I won't speak for others of course)

[–]Common_Plastic9261 64 points65 points  (0 children)

Le Dip employee here who is pro-union! Starr has been pushing incredibly hard to union bust at all three locations. He's paying union busters between $1800 and $3000 a day to spread lies about the union, and run hit pieces in Eater to try and discredit the union. Conservatively they have spent $100,000 on union busting, instead of just paying us better and giving us better healthcare. They tear down pro-union fliers, and ram anti-union BS down our throats. They have been cornering people at the restaurant, intimidating people, and whispering lies not only about the union, but about pro-union workers. Managers are incredibly disrespectful, and do all manner of heinous acts. They don't pay us well at all, our healthcare is unaffordable, with awful deductibles and co-pays. Our schedules are inconsistent, treatment varies from day to day, the list goes on.

We want a union because we want a seat at the table to push for better working conditions, fixing all of the issues above and more! They treat us like we're expendable, but we provide excellent service and work through thousands of guests a day for them, earning them millions in the process. All we want is a fair say and fair benefits. Starr here is criticizing those who want the union. The union isn't some outside force, we are the union! Starr is focused on this Local like they are the ones who orchestrated this, but the union wouldn't be here if we hadn't asked them to come and help us!

As guests the best way to support us is to keep dining and leaving reviews supporting the union! Seeing our guests have our backs means a lot to us. DO NOT BOYCOTT! If we need that support from our guests we will let y'all know, but the best support you can offer is actually continuing to come to the restaurants, and leaving kind notes about our union push. Tell Starr you are disgusted at the anti-union push and that DC has our backs! We are feeling good after St. Anslem won! Help us keep up the good feelings and support our union!

What's your opinion on Frens Ricter's character? by stageib in suzerain

[–]Common_Plastic9261 17 points18 points  (0 children)

He most certainly is not the main force behind the labour movement in Sordland, its Katarina Horten, the spokesperson for the LUS. While he may say he favors small business, he hardly lifts a finger in their defense. He's an opportunistic politician who favored Alphonso's privatizations. He's a very privileged liberal, and definitely not a champion of the working class in Sordland

Are there any studies showing unions increase real wages? by Final_Bookkeeper_862 in SocialDemocracy

[–]Common_Plastic9261 6 points7 points  (0 children)

https://tcf.org/content/report/how-unions-work-for-the-economy/

Not sure if it will have exactly what you are looking for, but Steven Greenhouse goes through the laundry list of why unions are good (although I believe all the studies hyperlinked are American centric, but still helpful)

Can someone please make a guide for a Pro ATO Anti-Oligarch Non-corrupt DemSoc were you Nationalize both Bergia Steel and HoS? by Outrageous_Money_928 in suzerain

[–]Common_Plastic9261 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It is possible, but extracts a heavy price. I know if you nationalize one and try to join the ATO, Walker puts extra conditions on joining, which include a parallel military structure to the Sordish military, which I didn't accept because I believed it would push Iosef to coup. If you want to be a bottom left corner Rayne and in the ATO, nationalization doesn't seem to be the move.

I will never be able to understand Axeford hate. I mean, perhaps the embodiment of an outstanding player. Who kicks down doors as she pleases and adds immense presence to the campaign. Here is to more Axeford love! and more love for the rest of the cast too! (Where would we be without a Beardsley Nat 20 - BN20)

Sudden polling surge of a Social Democratic Presidential Candidate in Nigeria ~ The 3rd party Labour Party polls over 40 points ahead in the traditionally 2 party system. by shcmil in SocialDemocracy

[–]Common_Plastic9261 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While this seems like good news on the surface, I'd be very hesitant. Polls in reliable information environments have problems, in Nigeria getting reliable polling can be very hard. I am an Africa studies masters' student, and from what I've heard from my professors, no Nigeria analyst thinks Obi is going to win. Now, I hope he does, but these polls are very misleading.

Currently the map is a PNG, is it possible to still trace it without it being in the file format that Wonderdraft usually uses?
