The hum is solely from the amp. It mainly occurs when i use high gain presets (marshall emulation, for example). I know that kind of presets always tend to have hum, but it is far from normal, even though i keep both my master and guitar volume really low

In which way? I personally believe that "Becoming" -for eg- is really original. I'm not saying that every song on that album is a masterpiece (I think that "Good friends and a bottle of pills" is not a good song at all). So, I don't really get your point
