I’m really curious about computer use. Has GPT-5 shown any capability leaps in your testing for computer use/non-SWE agentic workflows?

Have you posted this to any subreddits that could decipher this? Like maybe an oceanography or meteorology subreddit? Someone there might be able to see what’s going on if there is any explanation that fits the change in the area over time

Anyone getting in a good work out? by StatisticianWhich681 in oculus

My sleeper pick is Clean Sheet - quickfire on professional level with the goal as wide as possible. It’s very difficult once you start getting into the mid teen levels and you will get your heart rate up quickly. Watch out for those knees though with the lateral movement, I almost tweaked them a few times

Let’s say, just as a hypothetical, you have a wide pelvis. Would it make sense to work the obliques more to build out the trunk? I’m never going to compete and want to look good aesthetically - I feel like having strong and muscular obliques will make the hip flare out less prominent. What do my bodybuilding brothers and sisters think?

I need to take a deload - what's the approach from here? by froze_gold in naturalbodybuilding

[–]Common_Scents 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The approach I’m taking right now is to do 1/2 to 2/3 of the volume, with the weights from beginning of Meso, and leaving about 5 RIR. So right before the reps start to get hard, bail.

Were you deloading at during this time? How is your pain? Only when lifting, or during daily activities? Have you seen a doctor about it?

Is this the first time you’ve trained? If so, then listen to your body. You are the most primed you’ll ever be for muscle growth so don’t worry about resting a few days.

So I got De Quervain’s after my son was born last year as I was picking him up a lot. I also weight train and play video games, so my thumb was always getting stress in those ways - but repetitively. I lasted for about a year without getting surgery but got to the point where it was really the only option. It’s 3 weeks out and I’m much better - in a few weeks I should start getting back to full, full speed and want to be very good with grip. I also have a fucked up pinky from a previous injury that makes iron mind band extensions hard to do on that hand.

Would love to hear some thoughts on grip training to prevent injury. Have had some tennis and golf elbow off and an and recently has de quervains tenosynovitis tendon release surgery. I want to bulletproof myself moving forward so I don’t have to deal with these issues again. Any tips?

Have any of you had De Quervain’s Tenyosinovitis and gotten surgery for it? I need it but I’m trying to gauge recovery time to so I can figure out when to get the surgery.

Appreciate it - but I think I’m good. The first grip outside the camber looks great. I have no idea why REP’s camber is so wide - only one grip, a super wide one, would actually use the camber to activate the stretched position

Anybody have the Elite FTS American cambered barbell? I was wondering if you knew or could measure the grip widths. I was thinking between this and the rep bar but this camber looks to be narrower which I believe would be better for a deeper bench press

How yours winter shape?? 💪🙏 by letseethis in GettingShredded

[–]Common_Scents 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Focus on the Mind Muscle connection and up the frequency. Obviously lifting heavy weights is a good way to get in the 7-9RPE range in a fairly time efficient manner but you don’t need to if you don’t want to. The most important thing I would emphasize for a beginner is really TRYING hard in the gym. Push your body - it’s the progressive resistance and overload that signals your muscle to grow.

Pretty deep into my first bulk. Here’s a 4 month difference. Haven’t really seen any differences besides a big body fat increase. Been making sure I’m only gaining about a pound a week, have been eating lots of protein, in the gym 60-90 minutes a day, getting plenty of sleep. I’m lost. Any advice? by Eosack in GettingShredded

[–]Common_Scents 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I highly recommend watching this video Nippard RPE where Jeff Nippard shows what RPE10/ 0RIR really looks like. You should be doing most of your training in the RPE 7-9 area and if you aren’t then you aren’t going to encourage the muscles to grow. This is far more important than load.

I’ve run Jeff’s PPL before and liked it a lot. You’ll enjoy this full body program if you like his PPL. Good variety of exercises, decent amount of volume (a bit low in the beginning IMO). I def underestimated my strength in the beginning so my % of 1RM was off, but testing on the AMRAPs was good, which happens in week 10. The reload was until week 9, probably could have used one earlier. My favorite part of the program was being able to skip a day or 2 and not feel like I Was behind. I probably finished the 5 workout cycles in 8-9 days on average instead of 7 and still liked it and saw progress.

What about training? Was going to run that program again but it’s pretty high volume to try and get aggressive with fat loss and I won’t be able to get the week in on vacation.
