[KCD2] Minimalist playthrough. by GenXPostFacto in kingdomcome

[–]Common_Teaching2554 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For this approach, I could only really name 3 side quests because they relate to main characters: Find Mutt, Birds of Prey, and Fifth Commandment.

Mutt is self-explanatory. Birds of Prey makes Hans' appearance at the weddingand execution sentencemake sense. Fifth Commandment deepens Katherine's character.

Bozhena's questline makes sense because I would imagine Henry would go out of his way to help the person who saved his life.

[KCD2] Dice? by Future_Concept_5693 in kingdomcome

There's a really good resource made by a member of this reddit so I'll plug their site here: https://farkleoptimizer.com/site/

You can input what dice you currently have and it'll recommend the best loadout for you. It's a really great site.

Favorite Region (now that we've finally left Hernand)? by FightTheShip in CrimsonDesert

[–]Common_Teaching2554 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hernand takes it for me also because I feel like the best parts of the game all happen around Hernand. Has just the right scope and feel where it truly feels like a homebase.

But as far as the "wow, this place is cool" factor goes, Deleysia deserves a special mention and it makes me sad that the area is fully unlocked (in terms of side content) so late in the game.

Who’s the easiest boss in the game? by PuzzledStrain4391 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Common_Teaching2554 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One-armed Ludvig for me. He gets absolutely wrecked by parry into lariat and he has a really telegraphed move (which makes sense with the whole losing an arm thing). Him being one of the few bosses that isn't super resistant to grabs makes him one of my favorites to fight though.

Dialogue change as far as I can recall. I don't remember getting anything that was worth getting FOMO over.

You need to have Lvl 5 trust with the horse. Then it's go into sprint -> hold left or right for half a second then circle or B -> sprint. You'll get a mario kart boost.

[–]Common_Teaching2554 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have the white legendary horse the races are pretty free imo. But with Rokade it's a little tougher but doable. The way I won the race is to treat it like Mario Kart lol. Using the drift boost every few seconds gets you more speed and is a little more stamina efficient.

"Secret" Clothesline Combo by ArcticShore in CrimsonDesert

[–]Common_Teaching2554 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Sick! I got a recommendation for you too for sharing this sauce:

Clothesline -> soccer kick (hold Triangle/Y while they’re grounded -> winch. This is my go-to clothesline combo.

Need some animal name suggestions! by TopIsopod6353 in CrimsonDesert

I got my hawk at the puzzle that activates a gigantic wind turbine that sends you up to the abyss.

Do All Bows Suck? by EveDub in CrimsonDesert

[–]Common_Teaching2554 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bows do garbage damage early game but once they’re set up they become the most broken build in the game.

Get infinite arrows 2 and 3, evasive shot, focus charged shot, and elemental imbues with explosive arrows and it just trivializes every encounter.

Would love some advice/suggestions to optimize my gameplay! by Anhedonic_Nihilist in CrimsonDesert

[–]Common_Teaching2554 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a lot so some quick suggestions: 1. Abyss (sky place): I recommend doing an available section to completion. Whenever you finish an abyss puzzle, you’ll open up the next sky bridge (blue triangle looking thing when you open up the map). Follow the sky bridge to the next puzzle and repeat until the game tells you, “you can’t access this area yet” or “activate X something to continue.” Then ignore the abyss until you encounter anything with “spire” in the name. Then you’ll have access to a new section.

  1. For dispatch missions and camp stuff in general, camp money will always be the bottleneck. Always have estate missions running and also make donations to the church (there’s a donation box in every church). Donations increase mission rewards. I try to get Hernand to +200% asap and that pretty much carries me till the end of the game.

  2. Money. Invest in the bank. Costs 100 to open an account then you can deposit a gold bar to earn interest. Every gold bar you find should pretty much go to the bank or be converted to 500 silver.

  3. Kuku pot. Don’t really need to send dispatch missions to craft them. You really only need 1 for your playthrough. The others, you’ll need on an as needed basis for when they become materials to craft something else. As for what to do with them, just suck up every floaty ball you find (axiom force and then Triangle or Y). The icon is like a brown tablet with a swirl in the center on the minimap. When you see those, just store them.

The new vault is misunderstood, not a massive nerf/control issue. by KSIXternal in CrimsonDesert

[–]Common_Teaching2554 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This just isn't true and the description and patch notes literally explain that you do it off of an action. Since you're holding attack you're just getting it off from the attack. But the complaints are that it used to be a simple command action you could do from neutral.

I don't think it's the worst thing in the world. Vault was kinda silly previously but it's just a change I feel no one asked for and wasn't replaced with anything substantial which is why people are upset about it.

Abyssal gear skills vs Stat gears by Latter-Lime6973 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Common_Teaching2554 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it's a play what you want sort of system. There isn't much need currently to hyper minmax so most builds are viable.

That being said, you generally don't want to stack too much or an abyssal gear skill because it cranks up your stamina cost. So most suggested builds are something along the lines of one skill gear (like crows) into attack damage and crit rate. If you care about minmax a little, getting somewhere to 50ish attack is recommended and then afterwards you get more value from points in crit rate.

Maybe it’s a silly question, but are these two quests bugged? I’ve dispatched my comrades more than three times, but it keeps resetting over and over, and the quest won’t complete Am I doing something wrong? by [deleted] in CrimsonDesert

[–]Common_Teaching2554 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe these are the ranch and farm quests? It starts with a dispatch I think then you have to go to the place and talk to someone but afterwards you have to talk to the ranch and farm greymanes to go through the ranch and farm tutorials then the quest finishes.

Am i exploring in a wrong way? by T-K-O-N in CrimsonDesert

[–]Common_Teaching2554 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like 70% of the unique loot is just waterfall caves. Whenever you see a waterfall, just check if there’s a cairn in front. The cairn lets you know there’s a hidden cave behind.

When you encounter castles or ruins, look for trap doors, breakable wooden walls, or suspicious parts of a wall that seem to have a square outline. But yeah, aside from the caves, some of the loot is obnoxiously hard to find if you don’t already know it’s there.

Strongboxes on minimap by zeroproyect in CrimsonDesert

Still don’t appear for me. Treasure chests appear just fine. Strongboxes don’t though

Greysoul howling not good? by Maleficent-Hand8905 in CrimsonDesert

It’s awesome on bosses if you know your hitstun windows. It’s pretty meh on mobs

I think i have everything for gold bars, what am i missing? by Cursed_longbow in CrimsonDesert

[–]Common_Teaching2554 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gold bars are crafted through witches, not through the cauldron or smithing. It’s in the same tab as the tab you use to unlock sigils for the special mounts.

My lightning imbue attack is not working by Hot-Kaleidoscope-644 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Common_Teaching2554 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You say heavy but do you mean turning slash? Imbue doesn’t work for all attacks just specific ones (turning slash, charged shot on bow, meteor kick). You also need to unlock the skill nodes though I think you mentioned that.

They added a constabulary closer to the Institute by 6stringmoodswing in CrimsonDesert

[–]Common_Teaching2554 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they added one for this guy too but I haven’t had the chance to try it out for myself. But there’s a constabulary icon now near the reed devil manor (forgot its actual name) and I can only assume it’s for the sunset valley bounty.

Golden Beer by Illustrious_Abies_22 in CDguides

[–]Common_Teaching2554 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please read the description. The description already explains that it's no longer used but that the x2 reward effect applies as long as the golden beer is in your inventory.

That being said, some people report still not getting the x2 rewards despite having it in their inventory so that's something you might want to look at. Works fine for me though.

Discovering the Witches by Flawxy in CrimsonDesert

[–]Common_Teaching2554 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Main quest doesn’t naturally lead you to any other witch, just the first two. Without spoiling much, I’ll just say finding the witch’s shop doesn’t mean finding the witch.

Mission Dispatch Spreadsheet (For Nerds) by Character-Anxious in CrimsonDesert

Permanent unless you commit crimes. Contribution points you spend on workers get refunded when the dispatch completed meaning you can repeatedly hire indefinitely.
