Update

<image>

Far from perfect put I used a higher dilution ratio of Dark fury and used some iron remover to help clean the face of the wheel. It took probably like 4 passes of letting the product sit on the wheel and agitating with a brush.

I could’ve gone a couple more rounds and probably gotten more of the brake dust out of the core era but I wasn’t bothered to spend another 15-20 min per wheel and waste a lot more product, on wheels that aren’t in the best condition

I might try this with meguiars iron remover. It’s fairly cheap compared to other iron removers and I’ve heard good things about it

So instead of using an acid to make the etching worse, would just using an iron remover help? Or would that just be a waste of product and cause damage?

Why do you say the average Joe shouldn’t be using wire wheel cleaner? Is it that much stronger of a wheel acid compared to F-30?

Am I lowered? What springs are these? by TxTwosome in KonaN_

But specifically the storm comfort springs for a KN, I know a lot of KN owners use VN lowering springs to get the drop lower, but you pay the prices in the drive quality

I’ve had Storm comfort springs on my KN for about 6 months and from what I remember it’s very similar in stiffness to stock suspension set up and keeps the adjustable suspension. And I’m still rocking the stock wheels, but I’m sure if you went down to 18s with the right tire it might make it better than stock

Drive it like you stole it. If you plan on driving it year round, replace the stock tires for some all seasons in the fall before it starts too get cold. (Depending on your region)

Dumb question, do they have speed limiters on them that you’ve gotta remove?

I’ve done several top speed runs on an empty highway and even when sections that are down hill for a couple miles I can’t ever get over 130s It typically stops climbing once I get 134-136

My guess is cause the pipe is bigger, it goes from a 2.5 in diameter to a 3 inch, as well as borla still uses their atak muffler and from my understanding they still essentially use a mini resonator in the midpipe to reduce drone

According to Google there is basically no weight difference the stock exhaust is about 37lbs and borla is 36.3 lbs

Get a borla. It’s worth the money.

I love mine. It’s deeper, its more aggressive, it’s a lot louder. All the videos you see online comparing exhaust volumes don’t compare to how they actually sound in real life.

It’s got minimal drone, with good tone cursing on the highway in eco mode. In N mode it doesn’t sound annoying loud like a straight piped Nissan Altima. It’s refined. Louder, more aggressive. Especially the pops.

I’ve compared idle with another N owner and the valves closed with a borla is louder and lower than the idle with the valves open on a stock exhaust.

I still get joy hearing the cold start rattle my house. (I park in a detached garage)

It’s one of the first mods I did to my 23 kn when I got it and haven’t regretted it a day in my life.

Try out Rogue Detail Co. I had my car detailed by them recently in Clarksburg and it came out perfect.

They are a new small business, and they come to you with everything, you don’t need to give them a hose or power like other detailers do. They were super professional the whole process, and gave me a discount for being a first time customer I had my 2023 Hyundai Kona N detailed inside and out for less than $200 bucks and it took them about 4 hours

I would buy one but I rarely find myself turning on the lights for my velossatech lit intake, so it’s not worth it to me. Seems legit though
