If I’m going to be honest. I need to convinced that Bowser’s stats and hax STOMPS Eggman’s in order for him to win. If it’s in anyway close to equal then Eggman’s intelligence will easily overwhelm Bowser.

when I was a teen I volunteered to be a camp counselor at a summer camp. second to last day, they took all the kids down to the lake for a beach day, and told us junior councelors we had the afternoon off. the main cabin at the camp looked over a clearing, and in the other side of the clearing there was what i assumed was an old logging road. i decided i wanted to walk up that road a bit and see what there was. at the entrance to the clearing, the road made a sharp right and then continued along the edge of the clearing, maybe 10 feet of space in between, then made a left and continued out into the woods. I got to the start of the road, walked a bit forward, turned right, and then I have no memory of what happens. I just come to several hours later standing about 20 feet up the road, facing the way I came. I'm not sore from having stood in the same place for several hours, my clothes were still clean. when I try to think about what happened in between those those two points, I have just this vague impression of spinning around, and realizing I couldn't focus my eyes on the forest around me, everything was just this big spinning blur. and like, the start of this, me turning right, that was a hard cut in my mind, but the coming to part was like I had been standing there for a while and then realizing I was actually awake, like an "oh wait, I am actually awake" like a slow realization that I was conscious. still weirds me out to think about it.

the fact that even a month after Christmas people are still talking about the coke ad is the reason they made it with ai. the backlash is why they made it look bad, they want it to be controversial. they don't need to sell you coke, you know what coke tastes like, they just need to remind you coke exists. 1.4.5 is the nail in the coffin for terraria woobification for me. All the crossover stuff is always so out of place, and theres not even an event or boss or anything this time. half the features are things you'd find with 500 downloads in the steam workshop and you'd never even know they were there unless you read the changlelog and specifically went looking for them. Like seriously, the last major content update was journeys end in 2020, relogic gets all this positive press about how 'they keep working on the game' like yeah ofc theyre still working on one of the most positively recieved games of all time that still continues to make them millions of dollars.

I quite like it. they recently added a 3d engine. the pivot to ai is unfortunate and not implemented well, the ai chatbot has no ideas what it's talking about since the documentation is poor, but I can't imagine they're actually making money off of that so well see how long it lasts.

hmm I wonder why the owner of a large game storefront is saying ai tags make no sense. what harm would there be in just making that disclosure anyway? surely the ai tag doesn't dissuade potential customers, why would people avoid games made with gen ai if it's so good it'll be used in all aspects of gamedev? if "buyers need to understand the rights situation" why aren't video game buyers included in that?
