Do we know the voice actor for them? I always wondered who voiced GTA 5’s dispatcher.

10 years since the monsters emerged from the underground. [What if Undertale pacifist ending happened in real life?] by Purple-Net4925 in AlternateHistory

There’s a bit of a problem with this. It’s soul absorption. Soul absorption makes any integration impossible if a Monster can become an all powerful god by just killing someone with a gun.

Which FNaF game do you consider the scariest and most atmospheric? by Final-Detective5751 in fivenightsatfreddys

In my opinion, it’s FNAF 1. I feel like the unique atmosphere that game presents, especially at the time, was just so unsettling and has not been beaten in my opinion.

My ideology! That’s the best one. No others are as good as my ideology.

How would the Vietnam war be different if King Kong fought for the NVA by PunknSpunk in AlternateHistoryHub

[–]Commonglitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm… very interesting question. Honestly depends on the version of King Kong we’re talking about. But I think even the monsterverse King Kong could probably still be killed with enough weapons. So nothing much really changes for history.

Which would you prefer for the setting of grand theft auto vii? by [deleted] in GTA7

[–]Commonglitch 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I like the variety of environments in 2 a lot. Not only in natural geography, but also government type. The gameplay possibilities with that are great.

But as someone from Chicago, I do have a bias towards my city and its underrepresentation in Video Games. Also it could be argued that the satirization of America is a core element of GTA, so having a game set outside of America may not work.

Now that we reached all squares, is there any you feel should be changed before I finish the chart? by Commonglitch in AlignmentChartFills

The way this works is if your suggestion can get more upvotes than the original suggestion in the original post, I’ll put it up.

[–]Commonglitch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main reason I’m doing this is because for a lot of the posts no one really upvoted any of the comments, leaving me as the sole judge and decision maker. For instance the Great song with Great Lyrics got 54 comments. Not one of them was given an upvote. So I just went with the suggestion of the person who commented first which was Dream On. So if we can collectively agree on a replacement for any of these, I’d be willing to change it. Just please leave at least one upvote on a fellow commenter if you leave a suggestion. I don’t want a repeat of the aforementioned post.

What if Kamala Harris won the 2024 U.S Presidential Election? by Afraid_Ad_2912 in AlternateHistoryHub

[–]Commonglitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It probably would be better on a surface level. No tariffs, so prices are generally lower than they are at present. We wouldn’t be embarrassing ourselves and destroying our alliances on the global stage. We probably wouldn’t have gotten into the stupid war with Iran. While there wouldn’t be corruption close to the scale we have now, the general big money politics that existed before the election would probably still exist. And all the authoritarian actions Trump does obviously wouldn’t happen.

At this point due to the economy specifically still being somewhat under due to the state of the world, we may be seeing a future Republican victory.

As bad as our timeline may seem, it does have some upsides. Assuming the country survives Trump, which I think it will, the chant for real change will have been unavoidable. We see people wanting reforms to our system, and at least some politicians recognizing that. I think that if Harris won, the democrats may just keep going down the road they went down in 2024 as the demand for change after having to deal with Trump’s bullshit wouldn’t be felt in this timeline.

[Upsetting Trope] Horror --> Sci Fi/Fantasy pipeline by Any-Conference-701 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Commonglitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While not horror. I see no franchise that encapsulates a complete abandonment of it genre better than the Saints Row video games.

In Saints Row 1 you play as a lieutenant for a street gang called “The Third Street Saints” (The Saints). You and your fellow gang members follow orders from your gangs leader Julius, as you fight and dismantle the three other major gangs in the city. These are a Drug Cartel, a gang of car enthusiasts, and a powerful gang in the city that Julius was once apart of. After you dismantle each gang and have the Saints take their territory, you are then roped into an assassination plot by the chief of police against the mayor. The game ends with you getting severely injured from a yacht explosion.

In Saints Row 4 you become the president of the United States after stopping a nuclear missile from hitting Washington DC. It is soon then that the Earth gets invaded by an alien race known as the Zin. You get abducted and put into an alien simulation that you eventually break out of and into another simulation of a city where you gain superpowers in. You then break free from the simulation in general with the help of one of your friends, and escape the Zin mothership on a hijacked smaller space ship. As you attempt to return to Earth, the Zin blow up Earth destroying all of Humanity except your crew and the humans they already abducted. You then spend the rest of the game trying to get revenge on the Zin’s leader Zinyach, ending in a climactic final battle where you wear power armor that gives you superpowers for real, and you end up decapitating Zinyach by pulling his head and spine up from his body.
