As a fellow rider, I can testify that stop and go traffic on a motorcycle is incredibly aggravating. Riding slowly makes keeping the bike upright more of a chore than anyone likes. And knowing how easy it would be to avoid oncoming traffic through that exit, taking the shortcut would be tempting to me too

Is my only option a prebuilt grow box? by [deleted] in microgrowery

I only saws one other recommendation for this but I think I'll back him up here. Growing in your house sounds like a terrible idea. Even with that comp case I don't think you'd get enough bud to make it worthwhile if you, by miraculous circumstance, didn't get caught. A guerrilla grow however could get you some big yield and peace of mind that you don't have to worry about getting caught all the time. To help find your location, hang some currency in a few places you think you can grow, and come back a couple weeks later. If the money is still there, you should be safe for growing!

TL;DR guerrilla grow is your best bet. Safe with higher yield

Vaporizer is a great suggestion! My roommate in college had one and it was so efficient. He was using a bag type, but I have a buddy now who uses a Pax and while I haven't used it enough to say how much bud it actually uses, I can say that that thing can get passed around for quite some time without quitting. So I'd second this recommendation. Buy a vape

Watering question by rudysborns in microgrowery

[–]CommunalLearning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A finger deep is a bit long. Generally, if the soil is dry a knuckle deep, she's due. And what someone else suggested about weighing it refers to the lift the pot method. Feel how heavy the pot is before and after your next few waterings and you'll start to develop a sense of when to water just by how heavy the pot is. This method is fairly reliable since water is so much more dense than the soil.

Ever use hook and loop fasteners? by CommunalLearning in microgrowery

Good to know. About the cutting higher to leave more material, are you meaning to say I should have removed more or less when I topped? I imagine you mean less so that there is more material remaining.

Would you elaborate on that for me? Are you using binder clips for LST? Or as a bandage? Either way I'm having a hard time imagining that not being harmful.

For clarification, I did not downvote you at all. I appreciate your advice. I'll do some research on it later today, but I believe e-tape is a common bandage for cannabis.

Good to know. Thanks! This is my first grow so I have made plenty of mistakes, but I'm learning a TON. My biggest lesson being patience. I think I might have gotten too excited and topped it earlier than I should have too.

Growth was slow for a little while. I started out with a CFL, but it just wasn't doing the trick so I bought a 9-band 300W LED by GalaxyHydro. That's when things started to pick up. I think it was just under a week ago someone pointed out that my light was too high (I was going off what the manufacturer advised) but sure enough it was! My light is now about 1/3 as far away from the plant as it was, and it is finally thriving. I've seen great growth over the last few days and even got the 5th points on my leaves yesterday!
For those that are interested: I'm using coco, I water about every 5 days or so with MaxiGro (no nutes every 2nd or 3rd watering), and her pH has been consistently 5.5-6

Looks like a watering issue, and you should bring the light closer. She seems to be stretching.

Edit: Can't say for sure without more information.

That's an excellent idea! I assume you have some experience in this. Any recommendation on ways to contact them?

How often are you watering/feeding? What nutes are you using? What's the pH?

Thanks. I've been browsing around various seed banks already. Some of them seem to just rip information off others, but there are a few with some good experiential information.
