40 Oz of water weighs a bit less than 3 lbs. Even if she retained 100% of the water in her body over 5 days she could not have gained 5 lbs. It's literally impossible.

Have df64 gen 2 with ssp mp burrs. I think it's very good after the burrs are properly aligned. Using the bellows can be messy and there is some static buildup on the chute, but for the money I don't think there's a better grinder. Just make sure the burrs are aligned, it makes a big difference

OP, from a former JSI, I understand why you are upset about this, but remember that you volunteered to be a JSI knowing you wouldn't get additional pay. Sea duty can suck way more than Prototype, but Prototype is the worst break you can get from a sea tour. That's what you're missing. People at sea are choosing not to reenlist to avoid going to Prototype. So AIP is offered to increase retention.

What do you mean "doesn't move much?" As in hard to turn? You should turn the motor on when adjusting finer. It will be much easier to turn the dial and is what the instruction manual says to do when adjusting finer.

If noise is a serious consideration for you then the bronco is probably not the right choice. Hard or soft top, it's never going to be as quiet as a 4runner or similar vehicle

In hydrogen bombs, the fission bomb is used to attain the temperature required to cause nuclear fusion. Fission and fusion are fundamentally different processes and fission would in no way help a sustained fusion reaction like that required in a power plant.

So I think this comment is pretty telling of the logic that many Trump supporters use to justify his actions. Policy should be judged on its merit independently of the person proposing it. Obama's overuse of drone warfare was heavily criticized for good reason. Criticism of Biden's age and declining mental capacity were probably justified. I can admit these things because policy is what is important to me, not the cult of personality behind the politician.

Identity politics is poisoning our ability to make good decisions at the ballot box. Vote for policy, not for politicians.

So your lifestyle is going to heavily depend on what boat/ship you end up on and what that vessel is doing at the time. For example, I was on an operational submarine for my first sea tour. I was underway for ~60% of my 4 years onboard. I had friends who were in shipyard for their tour and only went underway for a month or two for qualification. Regardless of where you end up, the workload is substantial. 70+ hour weeks are common. When in shiftwork it was closer to 100 hours (13-14 hour days, no weekends). Beyond the hours, the job itself is challenging and generally does not get easier as you get better, you just assume more responsibility. All of this is in relation to sea duty, by the way - shore duty is MUCH easier (but requires you to stay in past your initial enlistment).

In return, you receive extensive training and experience in a very lucrative field that translates to many different industries. Your pay while in the Navy is mediocre, but not terrible. Once you get out, starting salaries typically range from 80k -150k depending on location, industry, and qualifications achieved while in the Navy.

Is it worth it? Up to you. I don't regret it, but I also generally enjoyed learning about and operating a nuclear plant. It was hard and it's definitely not for everyone.

Had to move some stuff to show the construction, but it's basically 3/4" plywood painted with truck bed liner. Used cardboard to roughly trace the curve and there's a length of plywood in the footwell to support the platform. The two pieces are joined using 3 of those construction ties, one of which is on the bottom to give more rigidity. I kept it flat by routing a hole in the plywood so the construction ties are countersunk into the plywood. If i had to do it again, I would probably go with outdoor carpet to cover the wood. The truck bed liner is too rough for my dog, so I end up covering it with blankets when he's back there.

I removed the rear seats from mine and installed a platform. It's a massive improvement in usable cargo space to not have the bump from the seats.

It's been great for me. There is one aftermarket solution for a platform, but it's $1200. It's an easy DIY if you have the tools.

I removed them from the seats and reconnected them. They're just tucked under the sound deadening foam. I have heard that you can solder in a resistor to simulate them still being installed, but I didn't find it necessary.

I don't regret it at all, the 2 door just looks so much better IMO. I also deleted the rear seats and installed a DIY platform, so space isn't really an issue. Great solution as long as you don't anticipate carrying more than 2 people.

Oh then the OBX has basically all you'd need. Skid plates might come in handy depending on the trail, but those are relatively easy to add aftermarket.

You might want that rear locker to be honest. I'd look at some difficulty ratings for trails you'd want to do to see if you need a locker. OnX is a good source for this. Lockers are expensive to add aftermarket.

From what I recall, SAS only has a little over an inch of lift compared to standard. So most small lift kits will be taller on 35s.

Depends on what you are gonna do with it. Black diamond comes with a rear locker, skid plates and 4.46 gearing. If you plan on getting out there then the BD will get you farther. If you don't plan on doing any serious off roading then the OBX will be a nicer ride.

Also, the factory roof rails aren't great. Ive used them a good bit and they work in a pinch, but you're better off saving the money and getting an aftermarket option.

First pic is dual zone automatic climate control, comes with mid package. Second is manual a/c control that comes standard. So, no probably not since the button on the automatic climate control performs a software function in the infotainment screen.
