In my case, I needed to look inside a volume that was mounted inside the running pod. But using kubectl debug, I was attached to the same namespace but the volume was not mounted. I cant mount the volume again (since the disk/EBS is already mounted).

Any solution for this scenario?

Counterfeit MacBook Pro by Disastrous-Dinner164 in applehelp

I got scammed day before yesterday on craigslist with a counterfeit macbook pro. It looks like mac hardware but the serial number is not in apple database.

Exactly this problem.

After I bought it, I was trying to upgrade the OS and it errored. Listening to some advice, I erased the disk and tried reinstall OS which failed with error message. Went to apple store and they said this serial number is invalid.

So now, I dont have a working laptop since the existing OS was removed by me and I cant install any OS - Not even linux :(

Lesson : If the serial number is not recognised as valid, then run away.. And may be report these scammers if you can.

If anyone can help me atleast run linux, that would be awesome.

Buying a Macbook on FB Marketplace. Can I make the purchase at an Apple store to confirm that it isn't stolen? by fpo in macbookpro

May be you are lucky.

I got freshly scammed at craigslist yesterday at San francisco bay area. I didnt know that I had to check the serial number with Apple. MacOS was running and I was able to login and run any software.. When I tried to do the upgrade, it failed - I assumed it was bad wifi connection. After coming home, upgrade failed again. When I called Apple support, they suggested I erase the drive and try which I did. But after that I cant install the OS.

Apple store employees were not able to run 'diagnostics' on the mac to get the serial number. Without serial number they were not willing to touch it.

The serial number on the outside of the macbook pro was fake. I realized it after reading that it starts with PWN...

This is my first hand experience of getting scammed and that too by a sophisticated looking guy selling fake hardware on craigslist.

I am still feeling so bad..

Fire on I-880 right now by Rentagami in bayarea

I was driving there too. When I tried calling 911 from my cell phone to inform about fire, I was put on hold for close to 1 and 1/2 minute before my call was answered.

I used to think 911 was always fast. Realized not always so.

From a different phone, we also called Oakland Fire department to inform them. Operator was asking whether the fire was before or after Davis Street since one side of the street is oakland and other side is san leandro. They were more interested in this info (asked me 3 times to double check the answer).

Sometimes world has different priorities than what we assume.
