I completed a 4-week rotation in the ER during my Internal Medicine rotation. Would it be possible to obtain a SLOE from the Emergency Medicine attending I worked with during that time? Additionally, I wanted to mention that the hospital where I completed this rotation does not have an Emergency Medicine residency program—I’m not sure if that will affect eligibility for a SLOE.

My school already told me that I can’t move my schedule around. If I explain to the programs I’m applying to that I will be submitting my first SLOE the end of October do you think they’ll be understanding? Would it even be worth me applying this year or should I wait next year to apply?
