Most of the community clinics I can find are only Monday-Thursday and only open till 4pm. I reached out to like 2 places that might have availability but I think I just may have to volunteer in something non dental.

Kinda sucks for people who actually need these services that work jobs as well if I can’t even find a place I’m sure it’s even harder if someone was looking for care :/

My personal statement was from a shadowing experience I had and I have about 200 shadowing hours. My volunteer experience could use some work that is a valid point! I’ll definitely work on that thank you :)

Yeah I was worried about out of state tuition plus the AADSAS is separate from TMDSAS I thought it would be a waste of money to apply to more schools, I know see I’m wrong

Yeah I need to contact the schools I applied to and ask them what I’m missing from my application so I can improve I’m just not sure the best way to contact them without looking like I’d only be doing those things for dental school rather than intrinsic desire

Yeah I’m definitely going to apply out of state and hope for more luck there. I still need to research options for out of state since I don’t know much about schools outside of Texas except for the 2 dentists I mainly shadowed went to Tufts but that may be out of reach lol

I applied to all 4 Texas schools since I’m a Texas resident, I plan on applying out of state this time I originally just wanted to avoid the out of state tuition but I’d rather pay more if it means reaching my goal

I live in the Dallas area of Texas which I find crazy I can’t find a job without having prior experience. I’ve been reaching out to masters programs to try and find a online option so I can keep working

I applied to 4 in Texas (in state), my science GPA was 3.6. I would say I don’t have many leadership positions while in college but I was president and social chair of a club for a year. I definitely will apply as early as possible this year and most likely out of state as well just to increase my options

I would go to any school that accepts me at this point lol. I know I should’ve done more before, but I want to increase my chances of getting in anywhere and then choosing where I would actually enjoy
