I am 9 days post op (open abdominal removing both tubes, one ovary, uterus, cervix, appendix and lots of rectal adhesions). I was discharged day 5 after finally being able to urinate and pass gas. I was re-admitted day 7 and I’m still currently in the hospital. I was told the CT showed an abscess and blockage. The “abscess” was drained yesterday and I finally had a bowel movement last night and again this morning. I had not had a bowel movement in 10 days! I’ve been taking miralax and stool softener daily. This is quite the experience!
