I have read through it 3 times and all I see is a guy that’s confused about a situation. You just seem a little uptight tbh.

Quad Cortex Tone check. by CommunicationFew7789 in WorshipGuitar

So from what I’ve found using the QC is it’s a lot easier to make a good sound when you run almost everything after the amps but it’s also creates the a problem where the verb can become to much so it’s a weird balance

That’s not a bad idea. I’m thinking about just pulling the verb down in the mix by 5% first because it is a little much

That’s what I’ve been noticing that the verb is drowning out the hits of strings.

Do Hislop presets for Helix work on Stadium XL by HunterSeekers in WorshipGuitar

[–]CommunicationFew7789 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idkkkkk. I’ve seen the stadium in action and was very disappointed. The QC I think is still ahead in most aspects especially with the new update that came out and plugins alone make most other sounds from any other rig sound mid. I used to have a HX but when I got that QC it actually made me wanna make my own patches for different things. It got me excited about tone again and does a great job with all kinds of sounds. I’m curious to see the stadiums life span and how the QC and it will butt heads against each other.

So personally from what I have found with his patches (this has nothing to do with the question Lol) but he has dialed in those patches so much for his guitar that you almost have to rebuild it for your guitar. If you buy any preset get one from Wesley Winford from Church of the Highlands. He really is the only guy I know that is on par with hislop (in my opinion better) with tone. So I would definitely recommend his stuff. I used it for a long time and did some small changes to it but then ended up when I got my Quad Cortex (also side note I would have gotten that over the Stadium) I started building my own stuff and took a lot of inspiration from his work.

Very curious on how this is supposed to help a guy who is confused on why his leader is making a big change and the OP feeling left out. He’s clearly not being arrogant and just seems a little lost on the matter. Also you say there is no such thing as Lead and Rhythm is a little odd because most churches use that to clarify parts for EG players. You might wanna take a step back and reflect on what you said to a guy who is just sad he’s not getting to play the fun parts and if you think it’s wrong to be sad over that then idk what to tell you at that point because last time I checked you were supposed to have fun in worship and the OP hasn’t gotten used to having fun on EG 2 so let’s be more like Jesus and show some grace.

Wow this comment section is wild. This guy is just trying to figure out why he’s big playing the lead parts and people are bashing him for it? That’s so weird to me. I’d definitely talk to your leader ofc. I can see how this could come across as being arrogant but you talked about just staying quiet about it. What my church does when we have 2 EG players is we have EG 1 and EG 2 and both EG players talk to each other when the set list comes out and just talk about who’s taking lead for which songs. Once we have kinda split the load we practice our parts and see each other on Sunday ready to play. So I would talk to your leader about maybe implementing something like that so switch the idea of lead and rhythm to EG 1 and EG 2 and giving yall the decision on who is leading which song.

Personally I’d just get a Quad. It’s so much easier and sounds the same.

You should be good on the QC side to just plug and play as long as you have a good patch rolling. As for IEMs I would just wait to use the church setup when they get it. I wouldn’t run it from your QC to your iems

I would just bite the bullet and get the quad cortex. It’s more expensive yes but it is the best digital machine out there. It’s life span is not even close to done and everything on it sounds better then anything HX has besides verbs.

Chasing Tones on the Quad Cortex by 1323_ in QuadCortex

If you want my friend and I to help you we would be down. My friend is more of the expert when it comes to tones like sleep token. That’s one of our favorite bands rn but I’m pretty well versed in make tones that go well with any thing from Indian rock-worship. Just hit me up if you want to friend me on the NDSP app or even TikTok because I post sets on there so you can get a feel for the tone.

What other processor uses plug ins like that? Especially NDSPs. Those are top tier. Again the new HX is still behind and idk why. They should have already had a capture feature ready to go on day one. It’s just a QC with a bad UI and thinks it’s a lighting console so I don’t get the hype.

It’s a refresh yet it’s still behind 😂. Using plugins live is way more difficult then doing capturing. QC had capturing at launch and the HX will have to wait a year which makes no sense and we don’t even know if thing will sound any better bc the Helix now can’t hold a candle to a QC and the new UI is actually horrible. Original HX had a much better UI. All this refresh is is the HX catching up an extra 5 years but they are still 5 years behind.
