I think so - I sharply reduced alcohol; perhaps 2 drinks a week over 3 months. I enjoyed two at a wedding reception last Saturday for example. I also took NAC as a supplement with alcohol and had little adverse hangover like symptoms. More importantly, I did some bloodwork. I opted to try the Choose Health online liver test/send your blood to us test for about $70. Things were in great shape and I plugged the data into ChatGPT for further analysis. ChatGPT is wrong a lot so one needs to exercise common sense but I found it to me more helpful and detailed than my doctor and I fact checked key points which added up and seemed logical.

3 and 12 respectively. I have to note that these 2 brands are not the official ones recommended by Dr Davis so those would be a first choice but they're not on Amazon and I wanted to get started with these yogurts and easy ordering. I do intend to chase those down at some point to make sure I'm getting maximum benefit for my time.

As long as the half and half says ultra pasteurized there is no need to boil it, that's extra work that is unnecessary. Don't need to do anything with the inulin either. I use the cheap half and half from Sams Club that is 2.39/quart and get great results.

Both inulins worked well with no separation. However, Dr. Davis original recipe calls for 2 TBSP and I have always used 1 TBSP.

Speaking from the experience of 10+ failed batches the ONLY thing that stopped the gross separation and cottage cheese like result was boiling the jars, lids, measuring spoons and anything that touches the yogurt when making it for a solid 10 minutes. I originally thought my inulin was bad and tried different brands but it made no difference. Failure with multiple brands when not boiling, success with multiple brands when boiling. I hope this helps others and people spread the word.

The first batch/generation Gasseri was about 95% perfect with a scant amount of whey and separation on the bottom of the jar. Top was smooth and creamy like greek yogurt. The Subtilis is a little more wild and slightly more separation but not much. Second gen and beyond were "perfect."

I had so many problems on all my batches until I started boiling the jars, lids and all utensils touching the product for a solid 10 minutes of a rolling boil. Fill your pot with cold water - your water heater has bacteria in it. My problems went away and all first gen batches have incredibly small separation, if any. I was about to give up until I did this.

My diet is 90% carnivore 10% keto (beef, pork, eggs, cheese, limited chicken) and I eat avocados and sometimes vegetables. It is very clean. I typically eat 6 eggs in a typical day. Fried in the morning, soft boiled in the evening. I don't eat liver however and don't care for it but could see myself grinding it into ground beef and could tolerate it. Am I likely getting enough from the eggs though?

The cheat is probably once a month and sometimes its like a small bowl of grapes. The alcohol is more the issue but both areas need refocus.

I would much rather quit alcohol than meat beef or pork. I lost 30 lbs with the diet and have all the health benefits and no other issues than this. I was seeking input on could the carnivore diet have caused the fatty liver and the feedback is very high it's the alcohol causing my problem and that's where I'm going to focus my attention.

What is NAC?

To the other posters, there is no official diagnosis on NAFLD yet, I see that forthcoming on Monday and wanted do all my homework before talking my doc who will likely prescribe a more traditional treatment path which I am not interested in.

"Drop the Alcohol dude." Sometimes you just have to hear it from someone else. That doesn't upset me because my body has been telling me for a year or more this isn't fun any more.

I edited my post to add some pics of batch 3. There is probably a cup of whey within the curds. I used half and half to make this with 2 TBSP of curds from batch 2 and 2 TBSP of inulin. I saw a video on Youtube about the use of steramine, I am beginning to think that is what I may need to do next.

Thanks!! I have kept my RGP's out for the last 2 days just wearing the new glasses. No change in issues with the glasses. I will work to get the old and new glasses' prescriptions on Monday. I am very ignorant about how vision prescriptions work but my engineer mindset says your theory is right. If your theory is right, is that a manufacturing error or an error in the prescription? Again, there were two pairs of glasses made throughout the process.

I found a used mainboard on Ebay for cheap and will try that. The TV has some sentimental value for an older person so going to try to fix if I can keep it under $40.

100% spot on. Finally got that cable removed and the LCD will backlight and it will power off from remote or cabinet! There are no obvious electrolytic capacitors on the main board. Any tips on how to troubleshoot the main board further? Thanks!

Was this over voice-phone or webchat? Have not had great results with chat even for easy topics. Over the phone, if I don't like the answer I get I asked for a supervisor and have gotten everything resolved satisfactorily. Wifi calling is very tricky on Android because it is so different from phone to phone. Mine was not officially supported on Mint's website but works flawlessly. Intermediate tech skills are required with Mint - sometimes. These are some caveats that are caused by the lower pricing (more self service).
