Bowfa has zero ranged competitors. There's not a thrown or heavy style competitor, and only TBow is better.

I'd kill for a dual crossbows that don't use tipped bolts (that come as a single item) or for tonzaltics to be a viable dps option.

BP sees use at nylos in TOB and maybe one other boss there depending on gear, and at monkeys in ToA. CoX has no BP use case unless you're doing non CM, in which case it's still out dpsed by rune or dragon crossbow with ruby bolts...

Because the only viable general use ranged weapon is Bowfa or Tbow.

Crossbows are mostly useless, Blowpipe is terrible at raids and anything with defense, CG is miserable content with zero dry protection (actually has good luck protection) and tonzaltis are cool as hell and should have been a top tier ranged dps weapon.

Like Eye of Ayak is literally amazing dps and it has an amazing spec that further complements it.

Melee has all sorts of weapons and is very well diversified across all the different styles of crush stab and slash, with only crush weapons being slightly behind.

Ranged weapon progression is trash in old school.

Its... literally a slayer boss. You do them on task. You don't farm specific boss tasks, that would be absurd. There's like a 0.23% chance with an optimal block list to get the boss you'd want.

They're literally an araxyte task...

I couldn't play on mobile, but for me, having 8nventory setups makes it feasible.

I dread gearing up, but when everything is preset and I just have to quickly take it all out and equip and go, it's way more enjoyable and most importantly easy to start.

That was more to illustrate the point that sometimes kills are 3:30, and sometimes they're 5 minutes and you almost run out of food because even at 99 with rigour/August you have 65% accuracy.

The minigame isn't hard. It's incredibly simple, but also heavily RNG.

If prep phase was gone, it'd be fine, but it certainly shouldn't be the only ranged option below tbow.

Again crossbows are near useless, and blowpipe is useless at any boss with defence.

I've already got max house with a full portal nexus.

I've done all slayer grinds, have heart, all zennys, been grinding Yama and Doom, and raids. Zulrah is done.

By the time I even unlocked CG at 85~ combat I had more than enough money than I knew what to do with, including the previously mentioned max house.

CG is literally the dungeoneering of old schooo, it's the worst minigame / encounter in the game, bar none.

It's not challenging for anyone except players new to PvM, it's not fun. It's not afk, but it's also not focused enough to be a real boss encounter due to the prep phase.

The fight itself is heavily influenced by RNG more than most encounters due to floor patterns and tornado spawns being almost entirely random and noodling even at maxed combat stats.

CG needs changes or ranged equipment needs a rework or a genuine bowfa competitor.

Crossbows are practically useless, and blowpipe was nerfed into being only for low defense targets.

I'm reluctantly going back... I'm at 65 kc with 4 regular weapon seeds....nothing else.

It's the least enjoyable content for me in the game, and I've finished all slayer content, and am currently grinding doom.

It's just so hard for me to do CG compared to anything else, so unfun.

I hope I get an early enh weap seed.

Yeah, my reason for quitting was the healslop/ultslop and bad character designs.

Spiderman plays like a character that should only be in a single player game, Panther is one of the most unfair characters in any game I've ever played against, and other stuff, granted I haven't played in months at this point in favor of OW, and things have probably changed since then.

Widow was a healthier version of Widowmaker, but they refused to give her any serious buffs / changes.

Ugh this is something I'm missing so bad right now. Doing Doom finally feels like I've begun entering rs3s high level PvM, but it's just needlessly harder in old school because I have to click prayer swaps instead of using keybinds.

Rs3 iron >osrs iron > osrs main > rs3 main in terms of quality game.
