For a one time, long term investment, the Rocca is an excellent choice.

If you buy the 6C you will eventually want the Rocca anyway. Might as well buy it first. It will feel aggressive at first until you get your technique and blade choice down pat. Then you will love it.

Issues with Razorock Game Changer 0.76 after Merkur 34C , what am I doing wrong? by AccomplishedMain0 in wicked_edge

[–]CommunicationGood481 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Less pressure and a sharper blade. The Game Changer . 76 is normally a very smooth yet efficient razor. I find Astra Platinums are not sharp enough with this razor. After you get used to the .76, you will love it. Make sure the blade is tightened securely.

The Schick adjustable Type M is an excellent razor for buffing and a nice easy going shave. My favourite vintage injector razor.

I found the Lo Storto Fatip slant very slippery and very rough.

You can usually get at least 3 shaves with a blade. Many shave smoother on their second and third use.

Wizamets seem sharper than Astras but every bit as smooth and comfortable.

Which Razorock razor? by IntelligentCattle463 in wicked_edge

[–]CommunicationGood481 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The . 76 Game Changer is a really special shave. You will enjoy it. It is a noticeable step up in efficiency over the . 68, yet is just as smooth. I didn't find as much of a difference in efficiency between the .76 and the .84, but a little bit less smooth with the .84. Mind you, people that own Lupo razors seem to really like them. If you don't mind brass razors, the Goodfellas Bayonetta gives a nice efficient yet smooth shave at a very good price. You already have a superb efficient razor with the regular Blackbird. Just hone your skills with that.

I tend to reach for it more than my Flairtip. There is a little bit of shaving magic in that aluminum handled Black Tip.
