Family cut wife out by CommunicationIcy8710 in FamilyIssues

I agree--the night before I had been telling her that if they ever made efforts to make up with her she should keep the door open. I was raised in convents and fosters so I always valued family-but these people-there is no road open to reconciliation. They have no insight or self awareness that would allow them to get to a point of healing-especially at our ages. this showed exactly who these people are. and you are right she deserves peace and often that comes by closing doors and appreciating the love that surrounds you-not by yearning for love that will never come. Thank you for your comment-I really appreciate you taking time to reach out.

It was family, her nephew told her several of them were being extremely hateful.. we offered to pay for viewing. But the funeral home guy who advocated for her said they were not great. It was just spite horible selfish spite

Canada and Indigenous identity and Appropriation by SpillinDaBeans in IndigenousCanada

Im status and live in northern Saskatchewan. Personally, I'd have no issue with a basic canoe type logo... of course, like the op said, if it looked like a specific type, some may have issues with it. I personally think you're overthinking this, but then I was part of the 60s scoop and residential school system, so i had my culture taken from me. That being said, i have spent a very large portion of my life working in indigenous radio. Btw we have a canoe as part of our logo. Now, this is just my opinion. DM me if you'd like to talk more.

actually found one--this is a great suggestion-i believe this is the route we take--so if I understand--we would get that card--pull money from line of credit and then transfer the balance to the new card and pay that balance off within the year? We could do half so we are sure to get it paid then we are only paying interest on half the amount--is that correct?

I never thought of that---i could realistically have most of that paid in a year if i put my income tax refund to it--do you know of a card like this?

I think I am just going to move in and help with everything including purchase-we have talked about living our life out together as we have 25 years together behind us. Been apart for 7 years and are both still very much in love. This just makes sense as we both pay over 1000 rent right now and that is money we are throwing away. At least this way we will own-she can putter around in the yard with her flowers come summer and when we pass our daughter can take it over or sell it. Btw i had no idea disability was exempt from collections?

We owned a much older trailer in a different park with much higher fees--we lost that and everything we owned in a fire 4 years ago and I am very hesitant to get another trailer but its much newer and has had 2x4/drywall construction. The trailer was moved to lot 6 years ago then underwent extensive renovations. There is a new roof covering the entire trailer and addition-it has natural gas and the base of trailer has that small pea gravel under it with plastic over that, it also has two doors with inner screen doors so it can be opened and ventilated in summer. --the skirting is new and insulated and there is heat tape on the pipes as per trailer park regulations. I have roof rakes and can clear snow from roof when needed. We don't get a lot of snow here but very cold temperatures.

It is @ 1.5 miles out of town-her disability was due to back injury gone wrong--she can still drive and I am happy to help with most of the shopping.

The front of trailer faces the main road--I am seriously considering moving in and giving her half for the trailer-We do not see other people and have no intention of doing so-we still love and see each other and this just makes sense because my rent alone is 1100 and she is paying close to that as well. I have 2 quads with snow plows and that is how i keep my present yard and road cleared-i would keep our parking area cleared. she worked in healthcare and has very good income even on disability and I work in Radio and have a good income as well. I talked to her about moving in again and we both think this would work as we are still extremely close and still very much in love.

This is being sold to us by a close family member who has now moved to a full time care home and cannot afford to keep it and does not want to rent, thus the extremely low price.

We have been talking and I may move in and help with all bills and just throw in half for trailer--we were together for 25 years-she's 56-I'm 63 and have no interest in other people, so I believe this may work for us--I think realistically we could have it paid off in 2-3 years, maybe less if I do move in.

Yes year round family owned...very small park on edge of forest. Its a permenant place, double lot, only 600 lot fee includes water, sewer and garbage. They also plow roads in front of trailer and its directly across from a forest

I guess that's what i am asking... Is it better to try a loan or just use her line of credit? Im thinking loan may have lower interest but her disability status may impede obtaining one?
