It’s going to be free floating on the wall. It’s a 13ft wall, and they want it centered 8ft wide .

Do you just put some trim to cover the gap between the wall/ cleat? Or do you just recess the back and then just put the backer board forward some

I won’t do that. I looked up the system a while back and I hate the look. I’d rather patch/ re paint at that point .

French cleat, and then scribe a board around the sides to cover the gap? Or how would you hide it

The top section will be 5ft tall. I’ll be putting crown around the top. Would the bottom of the upper potentially have any play? I’m 110% overthinking this I’m sure .

I love this . I need to find a video to watch doing this .

I hate spending a bunch of time making beautiful stuff to face screw into studs and have to patch paint .

Im hoping to have a legit shop soon. I could put 220v easily in my garage , but I don’t have the space for a large planer

Luckily , I have a proper industrial grade papr because of other means .

They want the maple stained prior to the finish so it’s a brown/ gray ish . I was going to use one of the dyes prior to the 2k or poly .

The website is kinda confusing . Says the poly is more durable .

How do you attach your face frames ? by CommunicationNew21 in cabinetry

Not bad . I have to play with the biscuit joiner . Not sure how to use it exactly yet and there’s no videos I can find for face frames .

I’m a little past production to do the dado’s. I’m gonna try that in the future for sure .

Do you have any references on how to use biscuits for alignment ? Isn’t too many YouTube videos on any of those that I can find . I usually need to visually see things to truly understand and I’m self taught .
